Photographic help need from the more professional photogs and computer buffs among us.

OK I bought Olympus equipment but there you go, I've always been a fan and still got my OM1, 2, 2N. But I'm now using an Evolt E500.

I save pics on my computer so that I can view/print as I like.

But I have recently had a problem!!!!

Although I have the Olympus programme, I also have Adobe Photoshop, Coral Photo 6 etc. To reduce harddisc space I have been 'burning' CD's and all of a sudden  have a problem. .

In Windows Explorer I can see all files list. However, when selecting my photo files and then selecting 'thumbnails' or 'photostrip'. I get no preview.

These files have previously been viewed countless times and are save as *.jpg's and are between 4-6meg each. On the 'icon' listing they are *.jpg. Some files I can see in full.

I've tried all programmes to no aval inclding the MS paint, imaging etc.

Any ideas?

Hi Leftie,
As I know nothing about computers and even less about digital photo's.
Herwith 2 buckets of sympathy. In my limited experience rebooting the 'puter sometimes cures things for me.

Is it just coincidence that my sister called me last night with a similar problem?  Huh

Many thanks peeps,

It transpires that I was running out of memory!!!!!

Some of my photos were saved as bmp & tif format - 24meg each!!

Once I cleared them all onto CD and deleted off the harddrive, all seams hunky dory.

However, all my photos that were posted onto 'Photobucket' have now also disappeared!

I need a whiskey.
