Firstly, I would like to thank Catchpole and Deidre for organising a superb evening which included other LM groups. I would also like to thank them for the overnight stay. Their hospitality during my stay was 5star. Shame I had to miss the 'Full English'.
'Photos will be uploaded later today.
It was great to put faces to names, such a Catchpole himeslf, Robbo and LPP just to name a few.
Peter, many, many thanks.
Look forward to Emsworth being the next meeting early in the New Year.
Jerry

I didn't know anything either and I'm just outside Portsmouth. Maybe it was deliberate due to my percieved occupation!

cracking evening, can't keep Pig-Pen away from the blessed restaurant, has his own table now!
A few pics from the evening, more to follow.
Twas a superb evening with some of the best food myself and all my friends had had for ages or ever! With regards to having my own table.... I was there last nite for a mates birthday... and had the same seat! So it must be true! I spoke to the boss and extended our thanks for the eve and he is more than happy to do the same again and for larger numbers, as long as they have enough a enough notice. Monday nite is harldy the busiest nite in the restaurant week, but they were 3/4 full all nite! Catchpole and Pig-Pen will discuss and there WILL be another event in the near future. For those that have expressed an interest or expressed dissapointment at not being invited.... bear with us. Next one will be a beauty! Peter. I hope you agree with my ramblings. We may have to meet at the Leaping Donkey one eve to discuss over a couple of sherberts. Robbo... With regards to the Delhi Belly... no one I know that has been there has had a hint of any digestive issues, apart from the occaisional gas release. Proper Indian! Watch this space!! PP

Just finished a takeaway from said restaurant and yet again it was superb! Had to take Lady PP to A&E as her firework injury from last Sat was still giving her aggro. Luckily its only soft tissue damage. Fnarr Fnarr. Milford was on route home (ish) so we popped in and the top man was asking if "we" are attending the charity night buffet on the date Catchpole mentioned. Tickets are selling fast so we better make a decision soon.
I also got a free sampler of Prawn Achari (superb) on the house... and free poppadoms.
Tis nice to get real service in a local Restaurant!
Roll on the next gathering.... and a future one with extra Brethren attendance.

Rex, my word you don't arf work quick. Next you'll be buying shares in the place. I've offered to arrange a meet in Emsworth early in the New Year, but if there is one between then and now, count me in. It all comes down to 'family' commitments so; For the Emsworth meet, how about Fri 29th Feb or Sat 1st March (St Davids Day - YES I'm a taffy sheepshagger) 2008. That easily allows Black Granny, but Robspot is quite a distance. As mentioned earlier, I have accommodation - a double and a twin room available plus other floor space for those requiring a stop-over due to distance or imbiding too much. Would suggest booking space now. Venue will be 'Spice Village' in the Square. Food is superb. And like Rex, I seem to get special treatment!!!!! ( hark at me, kettle/frying pan come to mind)

I am up for Emsworth. Its not that far from my daily drive to Pompey and if Robspot is up for staying over we could travel up together... he is just down the road from me if he is in Bournemouth. Keep us posted on dates... I am easy!!
It will only be me as Lady PP is not a curry fan so twin room or floor will do for me. I have a new fancy sleeping bag too as my trusty Le Mans Veteran of 19 years was retired and ceremonially burned after getting rather wet this year... from the outside, may I add! Damp feathers pong somewhat!

OK, we are still talking a few months away, but so far this is how it looks:-
Leftie Catchpole and Mrs Catchpole (possibly) LPP Black Granny & Mrs BG Robspot Robbo (possibly) Rick Cutler Sorry Rick Ian & Lorna
Would suggest Friday 29th February as the date.
I know some of you are members of other LM forums, please try them to see if anyone is fairly local and if they like Indian food and would like to join us. The restaurant has 60+ covers with extra in an anti-room.
All the food is cooked to order, so there could be up to 20mins wait between courses. Personally I've never found that a problem due to chatting etc.
Besides being a regular at this place, when we had a garden party in September, they suplied most of the catering freshly cooked. 'king brilliant!.
