The only reason they officially banned teamorders was because some teamorders made very bad television. (Austria a few years ago) Corrupted and commercialised, what we've said already for a few years.

Just seen this on the BBC It was announced that there will also be a total freeze on engine development for a period of 10 years from 2008. Now I know that costs have obviously got out of control, but how can F1 claim to be 'at the pinnacle and cutting edge of motorsport' when they inplement a 10 year ban on engine development?

And fully rejecting the proposals the engine manufactures wanted. No to regenerative braking and other fuels. Good old Max, killing it bit by bit

This is getting ridiculous... Briatore threatens to sue McLaren ''Our reputation has been defamed'' 06/12/07 09:25 Flavio Briatore has threatened to sue McLaren after the FIA's World Council investigates espionage allegations in a Monaco hearing on Thursday.
"A lot of very bad things have been said about us by McLaren in the last few weeks; very damaging," the Renault boss is quoted as saying by the Daily Express.
"We will be cleared and once the verdict is announced we will consider legal action. Our reputation has been defamed," he added.
The Italian's warning followed what other British media described as an 'embarrassing' retreat by Ron Dennis' Woking-based team, which earlier in 2007 was heavily penalised by F1's governing body for a similar spying saga.
The Daily Mail said the McLaren statement issued to the press on Wednesday amount to an admission of having 'falsified information' in what had originally been an anonymous leak to the press.
"The FIA has asked us to correct certain factual errors contained in a press briefing given on our behalf by one journalist concerning Renault F1 and we are pleased to do so," the team said.
The statement described how McLaren's case against Renault had been exaggerated, such as the fact that nine - not 18 - Renault employees have admitting to viewing and discussing the stolen McLaren information.

on with the serious stuff of enjoying another season of endurance racing. Sounds like a great plan! F1 has definitely been put back to "it's a rainy Sunday, and I have nothing better to do - so let's watch F1" to me

Right, end of that crap on with the serious stuff of enjoying another season of endurance racing. Your right. I can't even be bothered to read about F1 any more. It is corrupt, boring and everyone involved from the top down have got their heads stuck up their arses.

Can this be an end to F1 discussion on this website? So long as we can still discuss Lewis Hamilton! F P.S. And possibly Jensen Button if he gets rid of that face fungus.

Back in August:
"I'm not a judge," he (Briatore), told Autosport when asked what McLaren's punishment should be. But, he added: "Just read the regulations: for intellectual property theft the punishment is exclusion."
