As many of you know KK is a driving instructor, clearly one of the hazards of that role is the likelyhood of being involved in a RTA.

Today he rang me sounding quite chirpy to announce that his learner car has been involved in an accident, not his learner's fault, the other driver pulled out of a T junction into the rear quarter of the car...the amusing part about it being that the driver who pulled out into them was the sister of his learner pupil!!!  To cap it all their mother was walking up the road  Grin

At least she couldn't run and hide or deny who she was!

Quite irritating though...he's currently home waiting for the lease hire co to let him know when they can get a replacement car to him.

Ho hum...such is life sometimes!   Grin

You're either at Le Mans, or waiting for Le Mans!

I've sent him out to do some work.... Wink

They were all fine, the girl who hit them was virtually hysterical - she's not passed her test long (no, he didn't teach her!),  had a nice shiny new car and was very shocked by the whole thing bless her.

The lease company have been fab - they delivered a replacement car with dual controls really quickly so he only lost a day and half teaching, which can be claimed as uninsured losses from the other driver.

In all it could have been a hell of a lot worse - she was very lucky she didn't hit anyone who was going much quicker or a motorbike or a cyclist.  No-one was hurt and she'll be a lot more careful another time.   Her brother also now has a great story to tell to embarrass his big sister!!
