Eh up, what the hell's going on here? Is Frank merely bragging about his toy cars, or is he, heaven forefend, trying to peddle aforementioned trinkets to members of this honourable web-based community? I vote that he should be cast down amongst the sodomites, without dispatch, for he is clearly an evil, disgusting profiteer, damn his eyes. He's a witch, I tell you, a dastardly witch!!!

Well I like it (and the website) so let's not burn him just yet. Let him explain himself first. Hey Frank?

Hey Frank, you got any 1:18th highly detailed Mk3 Humber Sceptres in Gold? I reckon there must be a huge market for these.
If not then i think you must be a witch and come next june please make your way to Bleu where i will have built a large man made of sticks which you can climb into for my entertainment.

Frank contacted us before posting and we have his assurance that he has no commercial motive, just a wish to share his reviews.
Thanks

I prefer one oneth to one fortythird, but its nice.
Ther always seem to be a lot of 1/43 replicas on sale at Le Mans, down to the 600cc Alpine that finished 47th in 1960 etc. I'm amazed at the effort that goes into these things.
Are they more popular in France perhaps

Well that's a relief! For one moment there, I thought the obscenity of a potential commercial transaction was manifesting itself. In all seriousness, I did get a little nostalgic when I first viewed this thread. '83 was my first Le Mans. It's a nice model - or is it a slot car? If the former, it doesn't seem terribly detailed engine/transaxle-wise. But then again, I always was a nit-picking get. Have at it Frank. Welcome to this forum. Please tell us what you think of Andy Zarse's f*cking van..... Automotive icon, or over-hyped p.o.s?

Even my dentist has a display cabinet full of model cars! Yup, very popular here. Every couple of months a new magazine series including 1:43 models of various marques etc seems to come out - some of them pretty good for the money.

LeMans models are pretty popular the world over. Here's part of my 1:43 collection of approx 500 Le Mans models, including every winner from 1934 to 2006 except for 1962.
