I thought my Nissans were nasty looking cars but i followed this from Cadnam to Lyndhurst this afternoon. First look made me think it was a nasty 80's Mustang but after tailgating for a couple of miles (the driver looked like Mr Dudley of Ting Tong fame, from Little Britain) I think it may have once been a Mk2 Granada saloon. Check the side and you can see where rear door used to be under the shiny dog cock red paint and the 3.0 V6 stick on letters enhance it all... as does the "streetmachine" slanted stick on badge. The proud owner had also has a "owned and designed by ??" to the left of the boot lip. Couldnt read his name as my windscreen was too dirty on that side! The chrome wheel arch (rust) covers and wire wheels with Bond style leg shredding spinners top off the whole effect... oh and 4 exhaust pipes... stick on ones at odd angles to each other that rattled when he put his slipper down. Would have loved to get a front shot as that was fantastic, bonnet bulge, scoops, air ducts on the wings, chrome.... I could go on... but I wont! Each to their own, I drive really crap cars so cant say too much.... but what a 'kin waste of time and money.... unless he has the 3.4 - 4 mil pounds we have all been talking about.... Then I will eat Lady PP's turtles!(anyone want 2 massive snapping hissing meat pies?) Your Views?

It looks a whole lot better that the lowered, wide wheeled Nova's I keep seeing with 'THUMP, THUMP, THUMP' all the time. If it please him, brilliant. At least it caught your attention as you took an interest in it. Aint that what we do it for?

Point taken.... but nasty custom cars are awful and this one is up there in the premier league. Remember car shows in the early 90's with SDI Rovers with Cosworth wings? As I said earlier, Nothing in my stables is fancy (Mostly Shite) but, this is worthy of a piss take... it made my day, drivers haircut (Dungeon Master) especially, and if losing rear doors, do it with metal rather than filler. And Dog Cock Red!.......... Nice colour

It's a rolling horror story on wheels! Surely the sort of people who do this kind of thing are the same sort of people who festoon their houses in garish lights at Christmas. Nobody is at all impressed, except the driver who mistakenly reckons we'll all think he's a really great guy with impecable taste in motors. To be honest I reckon over 90% of the customised cars you see on the roads are absolutely rubbish, to use another housing metaphore, the equivalent of pebble dash and pink stone cladding. Ok if that's your taste but....

I've seen some superb examples and mainly done by over 40's. My 2nd motor is a '73 Triumph GT6 tastefully converted 16yrs ago to what I call a 'Sixfire'. There are definately some ghoulish people out there though.

F Sweet. was it really Dog Cock Red as that was a hard to find optional colour. My dad worked for ford at the time as a painter and remembers our jack rusells lipstick being a benchmark.

This is ment to be a Coupe/Fastback but is brilliant fun to drive. With the exhaust it's a bit loud admittedly, you cannot creep up on somebody quietly! TVR V8's sound a little bit better but this is 34yrs old. And yes they are 'straight-through' with only the resonator box at the tailpipes. I don't need speed to look good PS. I DON'T PUT UP FRIGGING CHRISTMAS LIGHTS EITHER.

Umm - I am not that familiar with doggie danglers, but I rather thought it more of a pillar-box red.... so maybe not quite the shade you have in mind. F

They're not for Christmas though. They are in fact a secret coded message for my extra-terrestrial friends. When they arrive I will personally escort them to my secret underground lair where they will be instructed in the arts of crap car manufacturing. Then, when no-one is expecting it, we will unleash millions of Austin Allegros on to the roads and an unsuspecting public. Thereafter all other poor quality bodge jobs (such as the exceptional case in this thread) will be viewed as exquisite works of automotive art and you will all be damned. I will be seeing THE DOCTOR soon, he gave me directions to Torchwood this morning...........
