Perhaps one of these:-

First spotted one at LM in 2003 but have only seen one other one since, Would be great to see and hear it on track.

Was on that stand in 03, the supercar stand with one of the guys on it who was developing his own car and got talking to the Invicta chaps, didn't like it myself, looked all wrong although i must admit it does look better in your picture.

Do they still make it?

This was at the parade on the Friday.  I think its the same think

I'd fancy one of these if they race it.  No idea what it is though?

I have pics of said Invicta in LM square in 03 and the two jolly posh chaps driving asked us for directions to the cathederal. My associates and I advised it was in a forwards direction and requested a small display of Horses,  the engine size (as told by digby and hugo) was alot under the usual one would expect for such a car (was a little under the influence) 4.5L? The resulting burnout was jolly crap but did make a nice noise and I hope they found the church!

i remember the 2 chaps did lock their keys in the boot on the stand and i did enjoy a good few beers watching them drilling the boot to get it open.

If I'd won that amount.  Firstly I wouldn't tell 'erindorz'. Although she might guess from the 'car'.

But what would I do?

Well.  firstly I'd split it in half.

The first half will be spent on wine, women and whiskey.

The second half I'd just fritter away.

Do you think I could keep this fron the 'misses' - 'erindorz'? As I'm SE, I can get away with most things and the minimum with an amount of credance would be a Bentley on my 'clients' account.

What are you views?

Just 'cos I love Bugattis I'd like to do a 'one off' around the Circuit des Ramparts at Angloueme in Poitou Charentes, just to say I'd done it. Street circuit runs every Sept and unchanged since 1903(ish)

One of my clients goes down to The Ramparts every year and says its fantastic- a must do event if you ever get the chance. He always brings back a pile of photos, an event programe, poster and a bottle of something local. Its on my list of things to do- don't think it will be in a Bug tho!

They had that blue Alpine with the green nose (don't know much about the historics!) that races in the LM historics there last year - that was fun watching it trying to get around the tight twisty, hilly circuit and it sounded great reverberating off the buildings. The Porsche's were great to watch, really close racing.

It's a great weekend (and pretty cheap too), but this year's clashes with Silverstone, so I'll be there instead.

This.... hehe

The XB GT Falcons raced in the mid to late 70's in Oz were awesome lookin cars and sound fantastic. Saw one at Perth Multiplex street drags 2 years ago and it kicked sh1t out of a boyed up skyline... but not as cool as the street legal Holden Torana that ran a 13.32 and then was driven home by some dude in shorts and flip flops!
Pics to be posted on the race car livery thread soon.

Went to Angouleme in 2004 for the Sunday demonstrations and racing. The demonstrations had practice in the morning as did the races. The demonstrations lined up in the afternoon in grid formation, fastest in the  front. So did the races. The demonstrations drove hard with the first across the line getting the chequered flag. So did the races. The difference? Buggered if I know. A couple of highlights were watching the drivers get breath tested after the lunch break and before the demos/races and the driver of the immaculate Bugatti in one of the demos. We knew that the chequered flag must be about to drop because he was coming to the end of a fairly substantial cigar!
This year is looking good as well. Goodwood Revival at the beginning of September, the next weekend off to Saumur for two weeks, with a run to Angouleme the following Sunday. All that's missing is the blower Bentley and I'm depending on Camelot to help me with that.

Sh1t happens, can't make Goodwood this year but I'm relaying on Camelot as well or I sell the house without 'erindorz' knowing!!!!!
