Bugger!! Wish I'd known it was going to be there. It must have been while we were in the Pits with Spyker  Embarrassed
She flew over at 2pm and as said, was behind the main grandstands at about 3000 - 4000 feet. Made me wonder if it was a recce run for next weekend.

Thats a darn shame as i was hoping to get a glimse of her 3 weekends on the trot as i will be at Northampton on Sunday so there was a slight chance. These are from Southport airshow. Shame about the specks on the camera sensor though.

Yes - a fantastic effort and long may she fly.

I caught this on Midlands News this evening - Prototype VX770 crashed exactly 50 years ago today.

Getting these birds in the air takes an incredible toll.

I know you guys like engines and most forms of engineering, including the avionic sort. This cut from 12 o'clock high is one of my favourites and listening to those engines crank up makes the hair on my neck stand.

This is a shame for all you folks who were hoping to see the V at Goodwood.
I've got my fingers crossed for the future of this magnificent aircraft. I fear it's going to be a constant battle against the ravages of time and the age old problem of finances.
I think it's Peter who has told us of the bill that has been run up this year, for hangerage etc.
It would be such a shame to see a vital piece of our Air Force history lost.
Fingers crossed.

if you're looking for a good vantage point this could be the one for you, the aircraft should be overflying this pub, here's to sunny weather and you can stand outside.

That looks remarkably close to the old Officers Mess which was used to be an excellent vantage point for the Air Show!  Sadly, no scope for me to bunk off from work at High Wycombe tomorrow, otherwise I'd be down there like a shot!

I may avail myself of the show home of my former employers.

This sits conveniently at the northern end of the runway.  Planes are about 100ft AGL as they pass, usually in a nice nose-up flare ready for the piano keys a bit further down from the site.
