Could be worse.

I think that in this 1st season they will be overly cautious.

Full credit to all involved in getting/keeping her in the sky.

Read Vulcan 607 whilst on holiday, cracking book, brought tears of pride to the eyes.

She was down to fly at Southport today but I called the Vulcan PR Officer to enquire about times and get confirmation and he told me that todays appearance has been cancelled, I am guessing due to heavy rain as its peeing down here.

But he did tell me that, again probably weather dependant, she is due to display at Southport Airshow on Sunday (tomorrow) at 2.20pm

Finally got to see the mighty Delta Lady today, after a 14 year wait since the last time i saw her fly. Have to admit it brought a tear to my eye seeing her over head again after so long. Worth every penny of the £6 million rebuild.
Shame though that they aren't putting as much stress on the old girl and keeping to a basic and tame routine as it wasn't quite the same without the mighty roar and tight turns and steep climbs, but still real happy to see her again, up where she belongs. Smiley

The Vulcan made two passes over Santa Pod this weekend.
They weren't 'displaying' just flying on somewhere.
Mighty impressive she was too.

From http://www.tvoc.co.uk/default.asp
"to be realistic, it looks as if the door may now be closing on the future of the Vulcan in flight. I think that anyone wishing to see a Vulcan in flight should do so as soon as possible. "

Not very encouraging Sad

I would go and see it soon if you can.

And the icing on the cake at todays 1000 KM's at Silverstone , a fly over by XH558 at 2 pm during the race. I couldn't believe my luck. Waited 15 years to see her fly again and now seen her twice in 7 days.

I must admit I was there but I missed XH558. However I was told yesterday that she will be back at Silverstone next weekend to do a flypast just before the start of the Britcar 24 Hours.

Nice to see the old girl fly over yesterday afternoon, first time I have ever seen it in the flesh so to speak, it's a shame it passed over the back of the grandstands.

Before moving on to the main motorsport event at the weekend, The Goodwood Revival. Hardly seems worth the fuel for the three men and their dog who go to the Britcar.  Huh
