The advantage of not having to pay a ludicrous amount of money to cross a 20 mile stretch of water - oh, and having another petrolhead for a partner. Won't make Silverstone though...

You'll have a great time. I just love Spa; it's completely different from LM; more laid back, less razamataz and the circuit is a real one-off - a revelation if you've never been before - the TV can never prepare you for the first moment you stand at Radillion and look up that hill!

Looking forward to it, not been to SPA before. Spent my formative years watching cars and bikes from pit lane walls. My Dad spent 20 years working for Castrol developing oils for race teams. We still get invited to look around the research labs to see whats new. They usually invite various F1, rally, truck racing teams, etc. to display cars and stuff. So it's in my veins...... Yep I'm a Petrol Head !!

You are so right - my first ever view of an F1 car was stood just there - sat morning practice in 1995 - and a ferrari too - Jean Alesi first car out on track. It was ab fab. That was the race that Hill and Schumi battled down the straight wheel to wheel in the wet. It was a strange race. We watched Hill pass us at Pouhon about 20 seconds in the lead in the sunshine. By the time Michael came by 20 seconds later it was chucking it down. Michael pitted to wets and Hill stayed out not knowing it was raining and had to tip toe around losing bags of time and the lead. Michael came from way down - about 16th to win. Hiya AJ - welcome to CA
