Hi all, OK I never got the lanyards etc, so what, it went to charity(ies). I would like a proper CA flag, where do I get one from? Team Red Dragon were surpased this year by our own flagpole, Flag order from top is:- 1. Saltire (Scotland), 2. France, 3, Y Draigg Goch (Red Dragon - Pays de Galls), 4, St David, Patron Saint of Wales, 5, Denmark, 6, Estonia. It originally started with '3' at the top! Bearing in mind LM is a multinational event, are we the most representative? excluding St George which will be hoisted next year. So please, pretty please, where do I get a CA flag? Jerry

I do believe we have some left, the somewhat darker version. Tell me and I will bring it to Silverstone LMS, if that's of any use to you. Does anybody know an address for strong flag poles? We've been buying on ebay, but those are crap. They snap way too ufcking easy! (Okay, I admit nothing was left after the Sebring Storm)

Paddy if you find a flagpole solution, let me know. We snapped another two this trip, including the one we'd bought the day before!

LMS seams good but it it may be only a day visit if I cant get a weekend pass (I'll put it down to 'work'!!!!!) We believe we used HP iron water piping readily available on Expo for ours and then a twig for the top two flags. The sections came in 2m sections with connectors. An alternative may be a carbon 'fishing pole'! as long as you can stop it collapsing. An example of the 'not needed' kind is As I'll be going to the Silverstone Classic end of July, can you let me know postage costs etc. I would be happy to pay extra into CA Charities. Jerry I'll ask Ian or 'Welsh_Soup_Dragon' (Si) of TRD as they are both plumbers.

Thanks for the pic Jerry - that was mine They are just not strong enough to handle that kind of wind - like the many gazebos that were twisted and flattened. Trouble is, it's a compromise between strength, portability and weight. Rick lost one as well - in more ways than one. First it snapped, then after repairs it was nicked, together with the Canadian Goose Del

A dod of gaffer tape on each joint stops the fishing poles collapsing.
Dod :- more than you need to tape a fly to a pinhead, but less than you need to tape a pikey to a lorrys propshaft.

We had used Gaffa Tape on ours, firstly to stop it snapping, then to stop it being nicked! Neither worked! PADDY, just looked online first company :- http://www.national-flags.co.uk/FlagPoles.html#fibre

A windsurfer mast should be substantial enough though, or maybe a length of 40mm dia. polypipe. Atternatively, a helium balloon, with the flags on the mooring rope? Or http://tinyurl.com/3xqjfb

While on the subject of CA flags, I personally would like a smaller version to (realistically) fly from the outside of the car or caravan whilst on the road.
If anyone else is interested in (say) a 300x200mm size, I would organise a print run.

Agreed with that but still need a 4x3 for pole. Put my name down for one. BTW, any sticker left? Jerry
