I went past about 19.30 and it looked a bomb site and thought it can only get worse, corks being chucked at passers by who were clearly not part of the 'fun'.

Not saying that the CA crew would have been part of it, but to be honest I thought there was a hint of a genuine race so was eager to get back to the track and watch / listen.

Yep, as I understood it even got worse later on with chairs thrown 'n stuff.
Maybe an idea to relocate next next year?

The good thing with the photo is that you can look at it and say "Oh yes... that was Fran I was talking to"...

That's the problem with strolling back to the campsite at 4am and emptying the two bottles of Amarula in your tent, recollections of who you met get fuzzy

Didn't get there till ten as we had to deal with a destroyed gazebo, our thanks to whoever sorted out the bits, and put the salvagable bits in our tent (D f H?).

On the point that some people seemed a bit disappointed by this years meet. The poo bar meet has always been a put faces to names event, some years it goes beyond that and developes into a huge party, 2006 or 2004 for instance, this doesn't happen every year. So carry on turning up, if only to meet CA's who are on other campsites and you have not met in person before, then really enjoy the year's when it get's messy.
