Commiserations to anyone who fell foul of the police speedtrap sting on the way down this year. A mate of mine got fined 750 Euros and banned for six months for giving it large in his Lotus. At 750 a throw, they must be making a mint....Anyway, the rule is, up to 50kmh over the limit, you get a fine of up to 135 Euros. More than 50kmh, goodnight sweetheart - banned from driving in France, massive fines payable in cash on the spot and possible confiscation of vehicle.

They use a camera and have road blocks at successive roundabouts.  Watch out next year!  Cry

There is another option!!!!

Stick to the speed limits!! No fines , no bans great!!!!!

HOWEVER very boring

Ah well just have to take money for the fines I guess

I think the speed limit thing only applies when you get caught........

 Huh
As most of us know radar detectors are illegal in France. I read the other dfay that the fine can be as high as 30000 euros !!!! More than draconian!

No doubt by next year the Guilotine will have been brought back!

You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

If my history serves me right; there were no Speed Traps in force in August 1914 or September 1939.

That's right, otherwise all of the French would have been done as they ran away!!  Lips Sealed Lips Sealed Lips Sealed
