...Cos it was bloody wet in Le Mans at the weekend. And cold. And all the bars were shut. Lets hope its better in a couple of weeks. Still, no drought this year, so hopefully no pool ban either!

No point paying much attention to the long range forecasts yet.
I wouldn't bother looking at forecasts until the start of race week to be honest.
Having said that, although I am a positive person, I am also realistic.
The fact that the cars frost warning light came on yesterday, did fill me with worrry. We've had a good number of dry races in the last few years...........
I won't say the rest.............

June 7th is as far ahead as mine is showing. 25 and partly cloudly. Showery for PQ weekend. Very windy at the moment but sunny.
No hosepipe bans but no pools any more. The ACO has decided that they'd rather not pay the water bill (which would put the ticket prices up for everybody). Everybody is metered in this country - even event organisers.

Yes, the 24 hours will have 16 hours of daylight, 8 hours of darkness and there will be some weather too From my experience long range forecasts for this part of France are next to useless, you might as well ask a fortuneteller. About a week ago it makes sense to have a look at them I pray for sunshine too...

I've just seen the first forecast for the day I arrive, Tuesday the 12th. Having seen this figment of a deranged weatherman's imagination, I totally agree with Werner and Nobby, 2 week forecasts are rubbish and should be ignored. Cos everyone knows it's going to be hot and sunny

Even short term forecasts are a nightmare. Yesterday mind told me it would be dry on Sunday. Now it says it will rain. There you go!

Accu weather give a 15 day forecast but whter as said before you can trust it is highly doubtful but anywhoo it seems as if it will be a little cooler this year. http://wwwa.accuweather.com/world-forecast-15day.asp?partner=accuweather&traveler=0&locCode=EUR|FR|FR018|LE%20MANS&metric=1

Well for fun last year I tracked accuweather for the 3 week before the race. The forcast varied form pouring rain to Blisteringly hot. So Last year I did what I've done every year fo rhte last 28 I packed for Wet and Dry, Cold and Hot.
As far as weather goes for me "Good Weather in a forcast" is as much use as having "Runway behind you" in a plane.

I was going to ask for guidance as to whether wellies are the order of the 'weekend', but you got in before me! Seems that we tax collectors will have to make use of the brolleys , though! See you all there! Bionic
