How many girls do you know called Yeungling? Sounds like you've been spending too much time in Bangkok. Are you SURE she was a girl?

I'd reccomend trying the 500ml bottled German beer from Lidl. I think its £4.99 for 6 here but would probably be nearer to £3 in France, the canned stuff not bad either. Can't remember either of the names though!

At last year's Edinburgh Festival I drunk some extraordinarily cheap canned beer from Aldi or Lidl in Germany. 8% IIRC, about 2 bob a can or less. While it did the trick of the "quick high before hitting the town" I haven't vomited quite so much in years as I did in the early hours.

That Girly beer at Sebring gives a serious hangover though ........mind you Matt H was a very good host at the "Fish on Fire" after forcing us to drink all evening From what I can remember Yuengling was pretty potent stuff as Nopaic will admit. After Only 2 pints he managed to fall over the fence outside the bar!!!!

From what I remember(?) the best beers in 'S' were Amber Bock and Sam Adams, I think, I do not think it is the same thing(??) also there was a 'bit' of vodka drunk, ok only 2 litres, but then I did not get drunk. I do not think so anyway.
Heineken used to be imported into Guernsey, it was 'P' not really a lover of lager, perhaps that is why I did not taste the Freaky Deaky stuff.
See you soon... at LM
I am currently planning my road trip to Spa for the 24, really looking forward to the drive from St Malo, remember I do live on a 25sq mile Island.
Don't forget Piglet you are/were going to start a thread for Spa (please)
By the way Belgian beer, if you do not know, can be pretty special...

It stacks neatly, too. I'd guess that you'll have a hard time finding it over there. You can't even get it in most parts of the States.

At last year's Edinburgh Festival I drunk some extraordinarily cheap canned beer from Aldi or Lidl in Germany. 8% IIRC, about 2 bob a can or less Did that come supplied with its own brown bag? I Some of that stronger stuff is a bit stomach churning, and some of them are suitable only for "specialists". Is Carlsberg special brew still available? The weaker (5%) lidl beers are decent but the canned one will cool quicker.

On the subject of good beer- anyone taking the Cherbourg crossing and travelling via Domfront should make a slight detour to a small village 7k NE of Domfront called Champsecret. There is a little pub called The Secret Knight, its just like pubs used to be, open fire, real locally produced artisan beers, mad old french Morgan owner propping up the bar etc. And I challenge anyone on here, male or female, not to fall in love with the girl behind the bar! She made me almost miss the ferry. Gorgeous.
