Have to agree with Mr Brown. Shall we say about 1pm on the Friday before the race at the Tertre Rouge bar as usual?

So you're not picking up any wristbands to get a draft beer at our party Steve?

Too True Paddy!!

Steve.............better make that 48 bottles of Leffe!!  Wink

After all, we don't want those Houx Annexe Ruffians coming over to Maison Blanche and drinking all our beer!

Heaven forbid that they might not even have a campsite at all next year and want to join us for the whole week!?

Most are acceptable, but a few years ago on our site a  Brit group seemed not to be be terribly 'compus mentis' (?). There was a vast quantity of AMSTERDAM NAVIGATOR being quaffed at all times throughout the weekend which seemed to keep them in in a semblance of 'sonambulism'. They had picked up what appeared to be three months supply and were intent on supping it in three days.
Having assisted them in attempting to shift the 'beer mountain' I can safely say that it might not be 'top of the pops' for me!
Packs a punch though!

Dutch Heineken always interested me...having joined DFH for an afternoon, I asked "what beer is this?"  - The reply?  Heineken...

Now in England, until very recentely, Heineken was about 3.4% I think, not strong, and therefore a bit like drinking urine.  At the time i wasn't worried about the taste, just the volume to get to as much of an inebriated state as I had the night before.

I was feeling bemused by the looks of "he might be drinking that a bit quick" - which explained themselves, when it came to light that this was Dutch heineken, and therefore considerably stronger than I thought...

Needless to say I spent the majority of the night on my back, passed out...however I did manage to save myself the embarrasment of being sick all over the steve mcqueen poster, in a Roy stylee!

A couple of weeks and I will have to try this "new" beer from DfH!

Excuse you!!!!! I did not, nor will I ever blow chunks over Steve McQueen! Just for the record, it was Stranger aka Marcel ten Caat, who now is no longer with us, for obvious reasons Grin

Last year we had the same beer we will have this year, we had no complaints about it, so it must be at least drinkable!

In 2005 it wasn't Roy being sick over the Steve McQueen poster, but Marcel!

Just to get some facts straight. Wink

(I see Roy was just a few seconds faster then I was)

On the subject of beer. Can anyone remember the name of one of the beers that was being drunk at Sebring? It was a lager type beer with a slight floral taste and if I remember right it had a girls name. I would like to source it in the UK if possible but can't remember the name.

Sam Adams and Yeungling are the two beers that we were drinking. There were lots of "Lite" beers, maybe that's what you mean by girls beers?  Grin
