Having finally got the bill from the T-shirt printer, it looks like there will be a surplus of around £300 from the exercise.  I havn't quite finalised the accounts yet (still a few dribs and drabs coming in) , but it will be of this order, unless I have forgotten a major bill somewhere. Also there is a few quid owing which I will collect at LM.

A while ago, there was a discussion about how to split any surplus - although nothing was finally decided, there was a suggestion that it would be split between CA and the CA charities.

In view of the amount of surplus (it surprised me!!), and the 'Dire Straits' situation, I would like to make this a formal proposition that we split whatever surplus there is between the CA Charities (cf Doris) and the CA Fund.

Comments!!  Alternatives??

Sounds good to me.  I think I overpaid by a smidge (because I cannot read!) - you are welcome to keep it and split it whichever way is decided upon.

I want my £3 excess back!!!!  Grin

Seriously though. If the server fund needs it with all the other activity going on (i.e. donations, lanyards, polos etc) then I'd say split it.

But, I do believe that the Server fund has already met it's goal  Cheesy, so any surplus from the t-shirts should be put to charity in full!!

Just my tuppence worth!!  Grin

The server fund has solved our problem in the short term.  However, obviously the committee will now look into whether there is in fact a surplus, or if we'll be getting this kind of bill again.  If this is the case then we're probably going to need some funds still, if even just to invest in backing t-shirts in the future, the possible calendar etc.  Obviously, this is one of our first jobs and we'll keep everybody informed of what's going on and what we find out.

50 / 50 is ok, as termie said, the server bill solution is only short term now, we should start to built up  some reserves for the next bills

... ah, and Del, thanks again for your work
