I'd rather have another Tropillama!

We today started really well a PM from Smokes to say the Tickets he'd got for me where in his hand and he'd drop them round or post them.  So I'm feeling all good and warm and excited.   Sent him a PM saying I could collect if needs be.

Then at about  7:45 I get another PM for smokie to say.  I popped the tickets though your door at 7:15.
Odd I thought I've been in all evening.    Went and checked No Tickets  check with the SO and not nothing though the door.   Panic Where TF did he post them? I thought.   Well in the past Comet have tried to deliver to a house on the other side of the road.  (I live at no1 but the house on the other side of the road is No 1 too. But it a different road.)   So I rush over no answer and I can't see the letter on floor though the frosted grass and no reply to the door bell. Rush back PM Smokes to as let him know.  Then I have the brilliant idea, may be the envelope is still in the letter flap and not fallen down.  Go back no sign but there is a car parked in front of the house so I try the bell again.

A lady appears from around the back I ask if they have the tickets.  She goes inside and a reappears holding an envelope.  Phew.  Panic over.

I tell you that was one of the most heart stopping 15 minutes of my life.

I really do need a Topicoma now.

May be I should also add some of the irrational thought that goes though your mind at times like that.   It passed though my mind to go back home and my sledge hammer to take the door out and see if the envelope was there.  Then I notice they had left a bedroom window open may be I could get my ladder out.    I mean it (the Envelope) contained two MB tickets and they are irriplaceable.  You can buy new front doors any place.  (Well nearly).

Hehe - SatNav told me I had "arrived at my destination" but I'd actually overshot into the next road. When I wandered back I thought I'd been fairly careful to get the right place.

Not exactly obvious, is it!!  Grin

Still I'm glad you are happy...

Hehe - SatNav told me...
Is that still the same SatNav that took you to a different pub in a different town in Dorset in '05?
That would explain it Grin
