Hello all, the Vette may be making an appearance at Whittlebury but not sure yet. I'm off to Paris on the Friday for the England v SA rugby world cup match. If I get back on the Saturday then there's a chance I'll be doing the LMES, if not then you'll all get a decent nights sleep.

Nice to see you here, Vette_1978. Great memories of Donington '06  Back ontopic, got an answer about the infield, finally... Good afternoon sorry for the delay in replying,
The reason why there is no interior camping facilities will be available for this event is that LMES are hiring the circuit for the event here, and we are running the event on their behalf. In regards to the camping we have not been asked by LMES to operate a public campsite for the event.

Hello Mr Vette, You weren't the same vette owner who was in the Whittlebury bar on Saturday night at the GT's were you.  The business about keeping quiet after 11 is tosh (tosh is turning up quite often in this thread), on Saturday their appeared to be some kind of rave going on in a nearby field coupled to some party at the hotel complex, all of which went on much later than 11. |

You weren't the same vette owner who was in the Whittlebury bar on Saturday night at the GT's were you. That was me, sat with the lass with impressive glands and a quiet fella. Made a couple of young lads days on Saturday by letting them sit in the car, start it and then rev the hell out of it. |

I'm in. The leave is booked, and a couple of mates are provisional yes's for the weekend.
Tell me where you're going to be camping and I'll book myself in there too (Unless we can get something as a group)
I'm going to get my fix of motor racing this year after all!

What is the situation regarding the 'infield' scenario??
I have contacted the owner of the small site at Syresham who, currently, has room. In fact, I have made a provisional booking for 5 Caravans/campers and some tents - I can cancel this with no penalty if this is not the chosen route.
Apparently a very nice site by a lake - pitch where you want/how you want etc - no regimented rules other than 'civilised'. But remember, no toilet block. Fees are £7 or £10 (with hookup) per night.
Whittlebury Hall fees are £10 or £17.50 (with hookup), has toilet block, and (apparently) a whole list of 'Thou shalt not.......'
The golf club remain adamant that they are not opening up for this weekend, and looking at their fees, I wouldn't go there anyway.
Another, Litchlake Farm, are only open for the GP and Classic, and have no electricity.
I cannot locate any other site in the immediate vicinity, so looks like we will have to run with one of these if the infield option is a no-no.

Do you literally mean no toilets, or no showers? I am not sure what I am doing anyway, I only get back from France on the Saturday afternoon... so might just roll in on Sunday on my way northwards. F |

Power is less of a problem than no toilets, as some of us have gennies which we could bring. Not sure about bringing spades and digging latrines though.  |

I would say toilet facilites will be essential. I intend to operate the Club Arnage Curry Kitchen, henceforth known as CACK. I thought a small fee would be in order this year, (maybe £5/£6 ?) all proceeds to the server fund if still needed or one of our charities. Cooled bog rolls will be available as an extra.
