UK team "Team Jota" (www.teamjota.co.uk) were at LM in 2005. My employer sponsored them during that season, before moving on to bigger and more expensive things (sponsoring/supporting Williams F1).

Any news on what happened to this team?

Isn't it Charouz now?

New team name doesn't sound very English! (But then, neither does "Jota")

Have they been sold overseas?

I have a funny feeling that I heard that Jan Charouz (cz) bought the team.  But this is one of those hazy memories so I'd be glad to get confirmation.  They're at LM so hopefully some info' will be forthcoming.  The only sites I have are not only in a language I don't speak but in a funny alphabet too.!  The dsc lot are in Valencia but I'll see if they know when they get back.

Last year's Zytek race programme was essentially staffed by the guys from Team Jota (although I don't think John Stack was involved, but I may be wrong about that). Sam Hignett is now Team Manager for Charouz. Whether there are other ex-Jota personnel involved in that project I don't know.

I think the car itself went to Japan. I shot a test at Snetterton, where a Zytek was present, and some Japanese people were there evaluating it. Although the car was in the white and blue livery.

Sam Hignett is still managing the team, and are running a Lola this year.  The original Zytek they ran in 2005 was sold, and became a Creation SA06 that is now running the ALMS.  The "Works" Zytek that Team Jota ran last year was indeed sold to Japan
