At my age, it takes me all night to do what I used to do all night!!!!!!!!!!! Then, growing old is compulsary, but growing up is just optional.

That Vernons Routemaster isn't quite right. RM686 never worked from Stonebridge Park garage, as shown by the SE stencil on the side. RM686 DID carry the Vernon's advert from 8/72 but it was on route 29, working from Edmonton (EM) garage. It was repainted red in September 1974. The 29 goes through the heart of the West End, while the 18 (then) went across less attractive parts of London, from an advertiser's point of view.
If anyone knows better, then I suspect the leading LT bus enthusiast website would like to hear from you!
