Well it looked like a demolition derby at times so you can't say it wasn't interesting for sure.  Pesky's came thru in spite of shaky start and it was a good race for them.  Think what the Porsche's and Acura's would do for Le Mans P-2 class in June.  Too bad that Corvette has basically killed the GT-1 competition just like Audi has about done.  I wish for the day when Aston's and Vipers were in the hunt.  Thank goodness for P-2 and GT-2 classes this year.

Not a very pretty race. But its good to hear Tomas is doing better, that was a pretty hard hit he took.  Would like to have seen the Porsche's convert their one-two grid positions into a win, but wasn't meant to be.  However, its still encouraging, there are going to be several races this year where the Porsche's and Acura's will be able to take overall wins in a straight fight.  Looking forward to Mid-Ohio enormously because I think that's a circuit that is tailor made for the RS Spyder and Acura's.  Agreed John, it looks like P2 is where its at this season.

The following statement is the latest update from Petersen Motorsports after the serious accident yesterday which befell Tomas Enge:

Less than 18 hours after a violent accident in the Sports Car Challenge at St. Petersburg American Le Mans Series race, Tomas Enge (a native of the Czech Republic living in Monaco) is awake, alert and resting at the Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Fla. Following overnight evaluation, X-Rays and CT scans of the Petersen Motorsports/White Lightning Racing driver, it has been determined that he has suffered a severely shattered elbow, cracked ribs, a partially collapsed lung and a potentially broken ankle. All the serious injuries were to his left side. Despite being extremely sore and bruised from the accident, Enge is talkative with medical and team personnel and is his lighthearted and humorous self.

X-Rays of Enge’s elbow and ankle will be reviewed today by renowned orthopedic surgeon Terry Trammell. Once his recommendations are made, it is anticipated that Enge will be transported to Indianapolis’ Methodist Hospital where Trammell’s practice is located. Because of the partially collapsed lung, as well as soreness, Enge will not be transported to Indianapolis until Monday at the earliest. The date of Enge’s surgery, its duration and magnitude, as well as his projected recuperation time have not been determined at this time.

Despite the severity of his injuries, the fact that he's chatting and joking with team members and medical people is a good sign, frankly it looked very, very bad when it first happened.  There's a certain body language that you see from the marshal's when a drivers really in bad shape, and you could see that yesterday.
