Just posted details of this on Lotus Elan Central to drum up interest amongst the Elaners

http://lotuselancentral.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=115124&sid=7f0277673ec3f48cb949b8fc601394da#115124

Plan for 10, 8 serviceable enroute, 6 arrive there, 2 won't restart, 2 breakdown enroute to the cafe = 2 at destination......

MG Mark

Although I doubt overheating will be an issue for either the cars or the occupants   Grin

Now if I ever get to bring the old one you may then have a point  Wink

Termie,

Thanks, I'll correct my post, my misunderstanding entirely.
No probs.  Although the bar should belong to me.. I probably helped to pay for it.

I understand that there's a Austin Healey theme to the welcome at St Sat this year, with some of the original LM cars and drivers scheduled to turn up. That should keep Mr G. Frogeye happy then, just make sure he drives off in the right one won't you?

Given the choice, me and the Frogeye would rather spend an afternoon in the company of our CA friends in modern cars than with a bunch of Austin Healey owners.

You've got me all confused now Gary. Isn't the cavalcade starting at St Sat?  - and I thought a frogeye was an Austin Healey Sprite, oh dear, have I made some sort of spridget-widget faux pas?

No BigH.
Not a faux pas at all, It's just that in my experience some (but by no means all) Big Healey owners would rather their cars didn't have to mix with their little siblings.

As regards St. Saturnin, I'll be there most of the day helping out with the Parade des Pilote so sadly won't be able to join you, but if you see this car there and an old bald geezer nearby please say hi. It would be nice to put a face to a name

How many frogeyes are there in a D type? Answers on a postcard please................

NB My frogeye back in the '60's went over a hump back bridge, hurdled a hedge neatly  since the road turned 90 deg. right, and finished in the breakers yard.........

That'll probably be the one I have now then!
No. I'd be happy for a staight swap, you wouldn't have to give me any money on top of the Jaguar.

I'll look out for you there.

Thank you for your very kind offer, especially as it wouldn't dent my bank balance, but I must, regretfully, decline your offer in this instance. However, being a mean bast**d at heart and with the best intentions of pi$$ing you off entirely, depending on mood I might be there in this one..... Grin Grin Grin

Well there are at least 6 of my group, including myself who have Healeys of various sorts and to us the Sprite is a fantastic car and as much part of the Healey story as any Healey. In fact this will be the first year this century that we havent had a Frogeye along with us. We do have 2 big Healeys though so do look us up and you will find a cold beer or two to welcome you.

Mal, thanks for that invite... Err does that include second cousins twice removed with Midgets? Wink

You are also cordially welcomed to our small enclave in HA any time you are passing.

Ah lynxd67, there it is!

Do you know, I just put it down somewhere back in about 1960 and forgot where I put it.

Sorry Gary that one is mine!  Cheesy

OK true confessions, mine was a little bit smaller than that one, but just as bootiful!

Even had a separate key that you could always lose down the floorboards, to wind it up with. And rubber tyres...

lynxd67,
It appears that you my have stolen the rear lights and number plate lamp off my frogeye. I'd like them back please. No need to remove the car first.
