As a proper godparent I'm sure you won't shirk your responsibilities. Buy him a 'my first scalextric' as a christening present, and take him to Sebring for his 18th birthday. I'd advise you to put it on the calendar now.

Good advice!

Why wait until he's 18.......

A christening at Sebring, that's a good idea. It's not too late, suggest it and then stand clear.

We were hoping for a(nother) Sebring wedding but sadly finances got in the way.  It might have to wait until Le Man!  Grin

My 12 year old twin godsons can't wait until they can make the trip to LM.  We've just got to deal with the logistics of getting them there.

Bloody children!  They totally stuff up everything given the chance.  Nobby tell your friends not to be so inconsiderate next time and to have future christenings in the Off Season.   Grin

Sorry you're going to miss it.

Map reading skills?  Hey, I'm only hitching a ride, I'm just gonna sit beside her with a few beers and nudge her awake if I need to   Wink

Easiest solution Bob.......drink copious amounts of free grog on plane.....arrive MCO......climb into car......sleep to Sebring......PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good idea, I can't wait. Three hour check in, traveling solo, no-one to drag me off shopping, head straight for Yate's bar, have a few and then avail myself of Virgin's inflight hospitality. Next stop Sebring and PARTY. Am I getting too old for this? Not on your life. Grin

Sorry to hear about this Nobby - that really sucks. Happened to me more than once re Le Mans. Good attitude though - it'll still be there next year.

Hi Bob,
Pace yourself. This is Sebring and while the race may be only 12 hours... we never sleep. Grin The Florida sun will cook you so be sure to drink plenty of water ...too.

Very sorry to hear about this Nobby. As mentioned, its now your responsibility to make sure he grows up a devoted motor racing lunatic, making life hell for his parents for the next eighteen years;D
