Now that's a bit unfair. At first tell good ol' Henri to drive for free, and then withdraw from the whole event Undecided

Pity, but oh well. Someone else will get the call now.

I always get the impression Loeb is fairly genuine, considering his position within the sport, he seems to speak honestly and without all the 'glitter' of other drivers (not just rallying but other disciplines aswell).

But maybe I am only seeing and hearing the good stuff.

Always strikes me as a pretty genuine sort of bloke - there is possibly also a large hint in there about Citroen's role in it, who "wouldn’t have stopped me from racing, but they weren’t too happy about it and I understand their position".  When they're paying the bills and expect a world rallly championship to be delivered.........plus for a Citroen team driver racing with a privateer French team to be beaten not just by Audi but probably Peugeot too would, I imagine, not sit particularly well with the Citroen.

I tend to agree with Mark.  What began as a "one off" for Seb was maybe getting too serious for Citroen.  It's a pretty diplomatically worded statement, no doubt there's a lot more going on behind the scenes than meets the eye.  M. Loeb has always struck me as fairly straight but I can't say his personality bothers me much one way or another.  He remains one of the most impressive drivers I have ever seen in rallying - certainly since the change to 4WD.  And seriously cute.... Definatley Citroen stopping him if you ask me Lips Sealed
have to say though that Solberg is my favourite rally driver love his dead pan attitude when the subaru breaks again and again

what a pity! With his success in Rallyes and his 2nd place in le Mans he has proofed to be a real allrounder, a very rare species!
Hope he comes back one day...

Neither of the Pescarolos will be a diesel, Sebastiens website translator made a bit of a boob. Both will be Judd powered.

If "cute" means baisable, then I prefer Mlle Ickx, or as a rally driver, Michelle Mouton. Wink
