Just thought i'd pop in and say Hi, only ever been to le mans once and that was to the 2006 Classic, absolutly brill  Smiley, well all except for the loos at maison blanc where we camped, still having nightmares about them  Cheesy, apart from that we had a fantastic time, which is quite amazing concidering it was our first ever le mans and first time ever camping, we couldn't believe what a great atmosphere there was down there and we met some really nice folk especialy "The Hairdressers on tour mob" great bunch of guys, looking forwards to the next Classic.

You're either at Le Mans, or waiting for Le Mans!

Hi Bilko and welcome. Are you only doing the classic or are you doing the 24 hour too?  Either or both you are ensured a great time with other CAers

If you think the loos on MB are bad, you should see the ones on HA   Wink

Welcome to CA, and as Steve said above, you should try the real thing in June.

Del, I'll have you know our lavatory ablutions have super springy underlay and quality Wilton shag pile, gold fixtures and fittings and chinchila fur for use as bog roll.

We know how to live on HA

dont get me wrong the loos were clean well cleanish, it was the smell that got me, you could actually taste it, i tryed taking a shower while holding me nose and the taste of the smell was making me gag, but these things just make for good stories when we got home, the portaloos with the gypos outside were fine  Smiley

Ah....., I see you are talking about the permanent ablution block at the entrance to MB.  Admittedly they are a bit long in the tooth and suffer from a lack of decent ventilation, but I can tell you that the 'facilities' at all campsites, and those at the circuit, have improved a hundredfold compared with what they were 20 years and more ago.

I remember going to use a loo on the circuit when.......  no, I won't say, you might bring up your dinner/breakfast/lunch or all three.

And as far as Mr Brown's description of the facilities on HA, the only word of truth was 'pile', and there's lots of them   Wink

a few of me mates go to the normal 24h, as much as they love it they still admit it's a total madhouse and probably not my cup of tea, i was contenplating the old timers races at either spa or the ring this year.
