Yes, I know I've not been on the forum for some time...

Yes, I know, the regulars won't even remember me, let alone the irregulars...

But I've had to avoid the fun of the forum for a while 'cos it hurts too much to see the build up when I've not been able to attend....

BUT NOT THIS YEAR!! OH NO!!

All systems are go! I've got clearance from mission control and I'm on the boat!!

Anyone else out there want to share in the joy of getting clearance? If you are able to attend every year then you simply won't understand the joy I'm feelin'!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Congratulations Russ.
I sort of know how you feel, as two years ago I wasn't able to go due to work commitments. Then on the Tuesday befor the race, I was so miserable that I thought F*ck it I'm not going to allow myself to feel this bad. Luckily everyone around me caved in to my missery.
I had a few days madly scurrying around for camping and ferry tickets and sailed on the Friday Morning.
I was so excited the three days between deciding to go and leaving for Dover that I could barely work and everyone got completely p*ssed off with me telling them I was going to Le Mans.

Russ glad to hear you can make it this year.  I know the feelling.  I wasn't able to go in 1981.  I really didn't like it so I made sure I was was able to go every year since.

Hey, thanks and Hi to those who remember me!

The Fred Dibnah Memorial tour is back in business!! Although we have a cunning new slogan in the making already!

We've lost our Camper van this year though, so for the first time in 6 years we'll have to do with a couple of cars. One of our member has got a nipper on the way, due in July, so being his third, felt obliged to remain at home... he's the one with the van... and will be missed of course.

Anyway... you can expect to hear a bit more from me this year... and I'll send Joy over to you Smokie, just give her a chance to get mopped up.

The big issue before you go is one of 'practice ' isn't it! What are your plans for preparation for the 'BIG WEEKEND'? Grin Grin Grin Grin
