Ah that reminds me!

Who do I write to for a copy of last year's ones? Someone took my name and address and promised to tell me when they were available...

Gary, wasnt that almost more fun than you can shake a stick at?

Next year I expect Lara will be up for it, AND I KNOW I will.

Great picture Rick, wheels look nice Gary (err Toby too!) and with the light like that you can't see Gary's NACA ducts and vents which would probably not be allowed due to homologation issues.
 Wink

Did you leave any rubber on Toby's wheels?

cheers Rick

Sounds like those who went had the usual thoroughly enjoyable time!  Sorry I couldn't make it - our weekends racing was, shall we say, a bag of mixed fortunes....

The next Marham Track Day is likely to be early September - no firm dates yet, but I'll keep you posted when dates are fixed.

Thanks for the heads-up Mark.
I have the slightest feeling that I may be there (with upgrades)  Wink

Glad that everyone had a great time, shame I couldn't make it (tried to start the cobra last week after an enforced lay off since the last track day).

Hope Andy (of East Anglian Cobras) didn't embarrase himself in his Dax.

As this event is now passed, I'll lift the 'sticky' - until the next track day.

Would one of those upgrades be smaller arches? I'm not sure that there is a sidewall ratio big enough Grin

Perdu - Little(!) bit of scrubbing on the right and a new alt bracket was all that was required, s'like crack - the first fix is free, then you are hooked. I think that Alan may be busy over the summer!

Gary - Get the running gear sorted out with the bits that you have; I still think that I might have an engine kicking about over the winter.

Mark - Assuming that I don't make the driving bit for the next one can I turn up with camera gear?

Upgrades?
Funny you should mention it.
I'm out for a drive in Kent today ending up in Shoreham-by-sea, then back to Alan's where I'm leaving the car to have some upgrades.

RC40,
Maniflow manifold
Peter May lowering blocks for the rear (only 1 1/4 inch which I don't think will be enough).
Frontline big brake Kit, MGB calipers and Mintex 1144 pads.
Vizarded 1 3/4 SU on Titan manifold (the Midget one).
That'll do to start

Photography was only allowed from the spectator veiwing area, Useless for photos in the morning as the sun was right behind the cars, Once you had been round in a car you realized all the best photo ops were out of reach. I asked the organizer beforehand and was told an absolute NO, there was even speculation that all photography was banned. I took 1500 pictures none the less but they all the same Cry

UPGRADES?
You call them upgrades? Some days I 'ate you mate... Wink

Now then what'll I upgrade with? I know

10.5 to 1 compression ratio and centre main bearing strapping. That ought to work.

Where's me Vizard?

Calculator?

Good on you chaps - no wonder a certain Sprite and Midget fly with all that kit strapped into them!  MGB calipers?  Chaps'll be flying through windscreens next.......

On the photography front, the organisation has moved on a little over the last couple of events, and it has grown in size - in essence, whilst it remains a relaxed, fun weekend, it is now more popular with more participants, which all needs controlling.   I hadn't knonw that they were going to restrict access in the way that they did, and previously I had been able to get Rick out around the track.  I do I know that the organisers had plenty of volunteer marshals this time, and, understandably, as the whole event is for charity, I suspect that they also want to restrict photography to ensure that the take up of CD/DVD of pictures and movies makes it worthwhile.  So for Toby, by all means bring a camera, but you are likely to be restricted for location, and best if you are at least with someone with a car to get out around the track if you aren't driving yourself.
