That is good, would be really good if they would run the first round though!

EDIT :- On translating it:- it looks more like Dome are to make an appearance with the S101. The reference to RfH was that it is the car that they are currently running.

Shame  Cry

Scott Atherton, the President of the ALMS, was right to speak about the growing interest of the concurents for the ALMS. After multiple engagements in GT2, category LMP1 could it also accomodate newcomers in the course of season well. Thus the Japanese manufacturer Dome expressed the intention to run this year to the USA. Hiroshi Yuchi, Race and Deelopment Manager of Dome, confirmed it to us. The Japanese firm very seriously plans to dispute one or two tests - for the moment of the ALMS, after the 24 Hours of Mans in next June. It would be probably in October, and thus a participation in Small Mans and/or Laguna Seca. This engagement will be done with the new weapon of the mark, the Dome S101.5. Dome, which will run to Europe this year under the banner of Racing for Holland de Jan Lammers, naturally wishes to prolong this association in the USA, but if it is not possible, Dome will seek another solution. "Of course, in the ideal, us should go there with Jan, but we must find another team if it cannot join to our project ALMS," declared us Hiroshi. With the presence of Acura and Yokohama, the next advertisement of Mazda, the Japanese participation goes up clearly in mode. In addition, the manufacture of the monoshell of this S101.5 Dome is about to be completed. The program took a light delay, but which will be filled easily. The shakedown of the car is always envisaged at the beginning of March. There is on the other hand no question of seeing the Dome S101-Hb 2006 in the Japan Championship Mans Challenge. Indeed the S101.5 Dome will take again many parts of S101-Hb, also the latter does not exist more. In any case, Dome had never posted the intention to engage in the JLMC. Our thanks with Hiroshi Yuchi. Claude Foubert

The first ALMS race unfortunately coincides with the test at Paul Ricard, but Sebring might be a better test option, the fans are there anyway. Let me send an email to Jan and see what he thinks Grin

Heard the info yesterdayevening already, If you read correctly Dome wants RfH to race for them in ALMS, if they can't they will look for another team to do ALMS. Sure hope RfH can participate ALMS for Dome, it will defenetly help strengthening the cooperation with Dome. They will practically be factoryteam for Dome at Le Mans this year, let's hope they cab figure the other series out too.

Really good news. While it would be nice to see them at Sebring rather short notice. Perhaps the DfH aka the Jan Lammers cheering section will be able to convince RfH to spend the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to come to Atlanta in the fall followed by California.

I beg to differ, Knetter, Paul Ricard testing is 25/6th March and as far as I can see clashes with nothing in the US.  Could be wrong....

Last thing I've heard is that the chassis will be deliverd in March. I think it will beon  short notice to build up the car and have it running for Sebring, Paul Ricard could already be very tight.

We'll see what happens. Smiley

It's probably some logistic problem, a lot to ship within a week. RfH haven't got too many spare tools Undecided

By the way, the only problem might be personnell. After all, the ALMS dates could clash with A1GP (if that series is still running by then)...

Paddy, Give Jan a call and I am sure a few of us will be prepared to assist! I really want to be part of a Le Mans team one day.

Your right, my bad. Thought it would be in the same weekend. Anyway, like LT said, to little time between delivery of the chassis and Sebring, maybe even Paul Ricard.

Be sure to get your Paul Ricard testday accreditation right...or else the Bernie E. snipers at Paul Ricard will hunt you down.

No accreditation = no entrance

Oh and btw, T2M Motorsport is running a Dome S101.5 in LMP2 this year. Perhaps they can upgrade to LMP1 after Le Mans and go to ALMS when RfH will not be there.
