Got e-mail confirmation from those nice people at the ACO for MB. I asked about the zoning business, and the answer was: "The zoning will be applicated in 2008. In 2007 the places will be only delimited on the floor" I'm taking that to mean free-for-all location wise, but with marked/sized pitches? Roll on June!

Wahay, my own allocation turned up this morning. Now all paid up - phew! Reserved 3rd June '06. Got 1 MB (Zone B) and 4 ACO grandstand tickets. Booking Ref 12900. I'll do a quick tot up of the one or two responses but I get the feeling that no porkies were being told when the ACO said it's strictly date order. I asked if I could book for '08 but they said that this year that would not be possible before practice day. Still, I think it's worth trying in March or April as clearly it got others higher up the list. MB is now full and the cut off date was 14th June so anybody who reserved thier tickets after that date will not get into MB. It is apparently their busiest year yet for forward bookings. Houx and Houx Annexe are also full but I did not get a precise cut-off date for that although it's probably the middle to the end of June also. Spaces will be marked out on the ground at MB but the spaces will not be numbered. So, you will be restricted to your allocated zone but can use any one marked space per camping ticket within it. Next year the spaces will be numbered so if you want to be together, you need to put your applications in at the same time.

You've gotta love the ACO haven't you NO, I don't. Still havn't had my letter through - ordered early June. I must have upset the ACO sometime, because when I emailed them this morning, I got the reply "You should receive your allocation letter in January". Del

Del, I got my confirmation letter this morning having booked on 3rd June - don't forget I only live 20 miles away so I get mine next day. Guess you'll have yours in the next couple of days or so. Don't despair!

Mine came through today, I e-mailed the ACO in May which they knocked back saying I couldn't book before the test weekend, so I sent them another 1 minute after midnight on the Saturday which seems to have done the trick, 3 x Tertre rouge as requested. I'll be able to get a bit more work done now I don't have to keep going home at lunch to see if the posties been. Everyone so far seems to have got what they asked for, which is hopefully good news for those nervously waiting.

I haven't had my letter yet which worries me as I hope to help some others out. I will try to book the day before Friday before we all leave for Sebring. If we all co-ordinate sending off the requests then we should get in the zones we want for next year.

Good point Rick. It appears that they will start using the numbered pitches next year, so we will need to get our act together. I wonder if we will be able to request specific pitch numbers?? Anyone (Termie??) fancy contacting the ACO to find out what the procedure will be? Del
