Yohoh, strange things afoot!  Now the moggie (and everybody else's avatars) has got squashed - she looks very odd! Huh

I saw that for a few seconds too.   Seems to have gone back to normal,  May be Djet is working some magic to fix things.
I just had really problems trying to even read the site.   It seemed to be very un responsive.

I was just about to post the fact that the avatars were normal again when the site went down.  Up and running again and avatars look the way they should even in the new format. Phew.

Yes, this is becoming an increasingly big problem - we ran out of RAM in 2005, and since then we've been into a bit of a decline...

More RAM (a lot more, actually) is underway, but not arrived yet. I constantly try to eliminate unneeded processes, and to slim others, to make do with what we have.

Steve's avatar is OK

Praise be

I never used those "clever" features, wouldn't know how to. How much internetting time do some of you beggars get anyway...

Cor

I never even knew there was a problem, is it fixed now or should I go meddling with it to see wossappning?

 Embarrassed

No, I expect I'd break it and I don't want you all blaming me...

I don't know if this is a problem unique to me but I just had a look at my profile (something I don't do often) and noticed that my e-mail address was suddenly public, which it had not been before.  Others may like to check theirs?

It still seems to be visible termie, I can see your addy in your profile at the moment.

I cannot see Frans, it is hidden.

Mine also shows, but I do not know if this is because it is my own profile. Perhaps someone can have a look and report back. It is currently set to NOT show.

Thanks.

Very interesting, but disturbing (I've reported this but the mods are having a day off!).  I updated my profile and my e-mail was hidden.  Logged out, came back and it's public again!  Humph.

Phew, that's good.  But everybody needs to check theirs, I think, as the software probably made more than just ours public all of a sudden.

Yep, it seems that you need to unhide it, then rehide it once more to make it hidden again.

I guess that you can always see your own addy in your own profile.

Anyone else who wishes to hide their email may wish to ensure it is still hidden. Having a quick check on various users, it would seem that most are visible at the moment.

A day off?? I don't think so!!

The moids have no real control over the forum software, this is Lennarts. I have emailed him with these problems, in particular the email one. How's about changing your address to something invalid while he is fixing it (which I hope he can?)
