Just saw on http://www.lemans.org/ticket/ticket_gb.html that they want to start selling tickets online on 6th of March 2007. What the hell do they want to sell that late. Stands and campsites will be booked out anyway at that time and the general-enclosure ticket can be bought anytime at the gates!
Great planning

Be good if we'd be able to buy returns on it though.  Can't remember, does it happen like this every year, Werner or is it that they have just got this thing up and running?  It is pretty typical, buying on line over here is a real nightmare - so few companies of any sort do it.  Probably all the staff would walk out there was any suggestion that computers might take jobs away!!

There was a shop at the URL ticket.lemans.org also this year, but it was just a couple of weeks prior to the race that I found it. Not surprisingly, all campsites except Beausejour were marked as sold out, but I didn't dig deeper at that time as I had already all tickets I needed. The shop went offline immidiatley after the race

The ACO did have an on-line ticket office last year. It opened long after it was meant to. Something like early April when it was supposed to open in February. I rather think that they can't get it up and running until they've sorted all the allocations through the postal/in-person booking system. By the time they opened it there there were only Bleu Nord and Beausejour camping passes available, but there were grandstand seats to be had, and of course parking passes and general entry tickets.
