The ACO have now begun a "video news" service.  The first features a short film about the track alterations currently underway.  Small problem (well, 2 if you include the fact that at it's introduced by Bruno Vanderstick - the guy who does the trackside commentary) - it's in French!
See http://www.lemans.org/24heuresdumans/live/actu/2006-11-15_NC_1234_fr.html
Main items of interest are that the Tertre Rouge tunnel will be improved to allow better public (including disabled) use, plus there will be a larger public viewing area (banking) inside the circuit.

Looks like a whole load more trees have gone.

The place is starting to look more and more like a dusty wasteland.

That guy must be paid by the word.  Its all talk and few pictures. He's usually rattling on about Vankers.  Can't say his W's poor chap.

And I liked the picture of Who Arnoux

Looks like a whole load more trees have gone.

The place is starting to look more and more like a dusty wasteland.

It certainly was something of a wasteland last year, but the outside of the circuit between the Esees and Tetre Rouge was the same as ever and the new spectator banking on the inside (in preparation for realigning the corner and which was accessible) had massively improved the view at that end of the circuit, whereby you could see the cars all the way from emerging under the Dunlop Bridge, down through the Esses, round Tetre Rouge and onto the first bit of the Mulsanne.  What it will look like with a re-modelled Tetre Rouge I'm not sure.

In this Clip http://www.lemans.org/24heuresdumans/live/actu/2006-11-15_NC_1235_fr.html they show the remodeling of Tetre Rouge to the start of the Mulsane, as well as a bigger run off they seem to have increased the corner angel and followed it with a secound right hand bearing, It looks more sweeping and as if it will give a faster entry onto Mulsane.

As usual, I'm quite good with the pictures  Grin, although the TR corner looks as if it will be more flowing, I susspect it will be at the expense of the glowing brakes and flaming exhausts, always a favorite place at about midnight for me.
