It looks like I won't be be able to make the annual trip next year Cry Cry Cry

What other European Motorsport events would anybody recommend next summer so I can still get a similar fix of motors, booze and unhygenic living?

No F1 please.

Go to Spa

Great circuit in a marvelous setting and Belgian beer as a bonus.

Piglet and I go to Spa 24, and Le Mans, we also do the 2CV 24 at Snetterton, I also do the Le Mans moto 24, we dont do the britcar 24. We are looking at the ring 24, Zolder and Dubai so plenty of 24 hour races to set your sites on....

BritCar was good this year it just needs more supports to really get off the ground. Camping on Circuit would boost numbers massively I think.

I'm off to the ring 24hours this year then pushing straight on to Le Mans. Having a bit of trouble finding anything out about the ring 24 though. Seemingly you cant pre book the camping. We'll be arriving on Fri 8th June, bit concerned there wont be anywhere to pitch the old tent! Can anyone advise on this and also what is the best campsite  Huh

Dobbo, you can camp all around the circuit, just turn up at the gate. Obviously, the camping pitches close to the circuit are gone quite quickly, I'm afraid that Friday might be too late to get a good pitch. However don't panic, there's enough space. I'm usually around Bruennchen & Pflanzgarten.

I'm planning a trip to Spa in August 07' so the Ring 24 sounds good to me!

Where do I find more info?

I have registered for their newsletter so I can post dates etc but nothing on 2007 as yet.
On the subject of alternatives/additions, I was thinking of maybe zooming down the motorway to Ricard for the test weekend.  Anybody ever attended this?  Might get a good preview of some of the 2007 entrants.
Also, anybody ever been to Valencia?

Hgb. Cheers, as long as I can camp somewhere! Would be great to hear a bit more about the event before we go. Hopefully you'll be able to fill me in on the best bars, restaurants etc as well and of course I'll buy you a couple of beers if required! Smiley
Termie, please do post the dates as soon as you know cos I've booked my ferry based on their provisional dates only and would be useful to know asap if I need to change it! Thanks

I just had a look at the http://adac.24h-rennen.de and they released the dates today, quite handy.  Cheesy

So, the 24 Hours of the Ring will take place one week prior to Le Mans, 7th - 10th  June 2007.

See link http://adac.24h-rennen.de/NEWS/tabid/89/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/1352/Termin-fr-ADAC-Zurich-24h2007-besttigt/+/language/en-US/Default.aspx
(Only in German though, but you get the message)

Poah... that's going to be a busy year 2007 !!!  Grin

fancy a trip to Oz?  if so, try the Bathurst 1000.

also, the MotoGP at Le Mans is worth a punt as is the B'ol Dor 24hr.
