Paddy

Do Bushys still give away the free TT stickers? The ones I've got from when I was there in 97 are a bit past it.

We have a provisional date currently, it is usually confirmed around the end of November/December.

Some people book on the back of a provisional date, some people don't!  You pays your money you takes your chance!

I have just spent 2 hours reviewing the web for prices for my group.

Single cars , same routes times etc are the cheaper than last year by £9.

My car is £20 more with the cabins, and group rates have come down again ?

Looked at Transmanche but their afternoon ferry leaves too late so going to look at the Poole route again. Its cheaper than Portsmouth by £100 a car.

I've jumped in with LDL.  £259 Sunday - Monday with the caravan up from £210 a fortnight ago.  This is what I'd expect to pay Dover Calais and Brittany ferries want £450.  I've never found Poole any cheaper, but these things change from year to year

Pretty sure we will use the tunnel again this year.

You can use Tesco club card points to part pay for it, every £10 of vouchers is worth £40 of travel vouchers, brings the cost right down

Will  also look at Transmanche as well before we book, I prefer the drive from Dieppe.

I'll be going on foot from Plymouth, seeing as I live there and the ferryport is only ten minutes away in a cab.

Just sling the bare esential (clothes, tent, chair, sleeping bag) in a rucksack and  hop on the train from Morlaix to Le Mans. I'll be there only 4-5 hours after arriving in France.

I can buy whatever else I need when I get there.

And I won't have a long drive or train journey when  I get back either.  Only costs £105 for a return ticket.

I realise I've mentioned this before here somewhere but think it might be worth repeating for some of you.  Tunnel does a frequent traveller deal whereby you buy 10 single tickets in advance for around £350 and can travel on any date, although there are some extra charges for certain timings.  Could be useful for anybody who crosses the channel more than once in a year (except from Jersey, that is!)
