You're either at Le Mans, or waiting for Le Mans!

Gastown in Vancouver is a great place for Restaurants in the evening. Lots of choice of cuisien and price.

During the day head for Granville Island. It has a fantastic food market and  stalls selling prepared foods from all over the world around a central dining area. It is very cheap to eat there and the food is good quality.

Both Gastown and Granville Island can be easily reached on bus from Downtown.

There are some great Microbreweries in Vancouver, there is one on Granville Island where you can have a look round and then get pissed on their beer. Try the Liongate Lager, lovely stuff.

Sure.  Not so certain about my 84 year old Mum though but as she's travelling with me across Canada by train you'll gather she's game for most things!

I'd have to jump out of the car before it went over the cliff though - Jersey and Sebring beckon.. Smiley

Hi Termie,
Toronto has everything and me too Grin
When and for how long?
What kind of food are you looking for? Toronto literally has resturants at all levels and form pretty well every kind of food.

We arrive in Toronto off the train at 20.00 on the 29th September and the plane leaves at 21.50 on the 2nd October.  We're doing Niagra (had to really as it will no doubt be the only time my Mum will ever do this!) on the 1st.  Not too fussed about the sort of food although the old girl isn't really much taken by places that do mountainous meals!  The fact that there are hundreds is really part of the problem as it's so easy to pick the one that's unreliable.  We're staying at the Ramada so somewhere not too far away would be good.  Come and meet us for a drink perhaps?
Cheers, Deb (will still be internet connected until the 19th but after that, who knows...)
