We are about fifteen minutes away from Rotterdam Airport, and a fair 45 minute drive from Amsterdam Airport (I know, it's a small country). Planning is Saturday to Sunday. If all can be here at a reasonable time, we'll try to get to the go-kart centre and do some drinking and driving on the circuit (just kidding!)

How far are you from the airport? And when are people planning to go?
Friday to Sunday? Saturday to Sunday? Saturday to Monday?
Robspot, I am free and easy, could go out Friday to Sunday and stay in Rotterdam or Amsterdam on Friday night. That sounds tempting Rick but if I stay in Amsterdam on friday night I won't be going anywhere on saturday

Flying seems like a sensible option as one goes at 7.50am on saturday (arrives Rotterdam at 10.10am) and returns at 3.45pm on sunday. I don't fancy a 16 hour round trip drive for one night. I wouldn't mind meeting up on the friday night for a few beers though.

Where is the flight from? If it is bournmouth I could make my way to you on Friday night. Have a few beers and set of in the AM, I must admit Flying is a lot easier. I have done a Amsterdam round trip in the van, not much fun, but amsterdam was! :-)

The flight I was talking about was from 'eathrow. The Bournemouth flights, as Paddy says, aren't great times and only go to Amsterdam

Heathrow is easy for me so let me know if you are going to fly and I will try and book the same flight. Hotel's in Rotterdam look cheap (E50-E110) , maybe fly out on Friday evening and stay in Rotterdam, get some of the Dutch guys to show us around . Then to paddy's on Saturday, stay there on Saturday night. Then fly back on Sunday afternoon.

I'm willing to offer a place to sleep and breakfast for two persons for the weekend, so don't worry about it. I live only 20 minutes away from Paddy's.

I mailed Werner. It looks like we will get to Rotterdam together, which means less room for the Hefeweizen, I'm afraid.

You can mark me as "possible", if work stays steady till November than I may be able to swing it. If I do attend, no worry about the Weizen or Weissbier as it`s called here in Bayern. I can bring crateloads in my Multivan.
LangTall, I didn`t know that there is a proper time in the Netherlands for drinking Weizen? Is it considered a summer beer, I ask because in Munich it`s drank the whole year round.

Yes, Weizen, or 'witbier' as we call it, is considered a summer beer. When I'm in Germany for my work, I always order Weizen insead of pils, as I find it more appealing.

I'm interested - there's a Transavia flight from Stansted to Rotterdam, currently about £80 including tax.
Need to check with my diary secretary.

If necessary two people or so can sleep at my place from friday on saturday. It's just a studio so not very big but that won't be a problem. It's only for one night. And most of Rotterdams cafés are within a few minutes walking from my door, Paddy lives five minutes away by car.
