Rick, it's not that big, look at the car in proportion. Anyhow, that will not matter as it's the speed of the thing that makes it so choppy. Good help you, take a bucket. 3.40 is a bloody long time to be trapped on the damn thing and if it's quiet they close daown an engine and it goes slower thereby dragging out the torture longer.

And Easyjet is £49 from Gatwick; we know which we're going on.

Easyjet don't fly to Rotterdam. I assume you're going to Amsterdam. When are you planning to go and come back?

Rick and Bob are you staying in Amsterdam or Rotterdam on the friday night?

As far as I know we are staying in Rotterdam, but Amsterdam sounds good too. I'm sure I could find something to amuse me there.
Nothing is definate yet except the fact that we are going and how we are getting there.

Yes Rotterdam is plan, I do not mind Amsterdam but I have not been to Rotterdam and some of DfH are organising a night out on the friday for us.

Looks like it will be Me, BOBU and Andy going out by boat.

That's a good thing then? Huh I thought they were supposed to look more like chrysanths?  Undecided

Anyway, for those of you who are still not sure about coming over to Holland: I will be there as well and I will bring Albert CB with me Grin

As far as the sea-sickness people are concerned: when I was a kid I went to England once on a ferry with very rough sea. Inside I was pretty much enjoying myself with the boat rolling and banging on the waves, but got very sick anyways. So my dad told me to go outside (it was very windy but not much rain). It worked like a miracle! Walking outside in the fresh air (this was around Easter weekend), looking out over the sea, all my sickness went away and I felt better than ever Cheesy Another good place to go was the swimming pool in the very depths of the ship: the boat was going from one side to another but the water was steady, although ofcourse it looked as if the water was splashing around Wink

I am not sure if there are still ferries like that around though, these ferries used to take about six hours to make the trip, they had a little supermarket and a cinema and a restaurant and a swimming pool and even a small gamblingmachine hall. It was really just part of the fun of the trip to England, being on that ferry. I made the trip to England by ferry twice, so four trips on the ferry in total, and I thouroughly enjoyed it  Cool

@Doris: VOLUNTEER HERE!!!!! (oh, and could you please give Dirk3D_NL a quick course in massaging then?  Grin )

Rob, me Chris and the Gimp are looking at flying out to Amsterdam on either fri night or sat morning getting to Rotterdam by train (45 mins?) and probably spending sunday night back in Am'dam for a "schmoke", flying back on on monday. Anyway that's the basic plan. What had you in mind?

Not sure yet. I've only got one day's holiday spare so I can either take friday or monday off. Do you fancy doing Amdam on the friday or are you definitely planning for sunday?

I obviously don't know what a schmoke is but I would prefer to do it as far away from the return flight as possible  Wink
