I'm sure you would like to add your congratulations to our Head of Chartiy, Doris.

Over the last week or so we have been discussing the possibility of asking for a voluntary donation to charity for the CA Guide 2007.

We also feel that to co-ordinate and promote the fund raising activities there should a person to do this.  Doris has agreed and I'm sure you will agree that she will do an excellent job.

It gives us the chance to provide more opportunities for raising money for more charities.

Doris, will be providing further information over the next few days as to how this will work. so please look out for it as it is important that we can understand how you would like this to progress.

all the best for now FS

You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

You're either at Le Mans, or waiting for Le Mans!

Yep, great stuff.

I'd just like to add one point based on my previous membership of a fundraising organisation (Round Table). It's important to make sure that you are not dependent on your own members for providing the funds! We used to carry out a whole range of fund raising activities, and facilitate other groups to carry out their own (or they would "man" our events and effectively get paid for it).

As anyone with kids at a school which has an active PTA knows, continually being requested to pay towards this or sponsor that becomes an embarrassing headache.
