I know exactly how you feel, about being too close to Jersey, BUT, I think the Dinan locals would probably say the same.

Even the Jersey people do not like Jersey, that is why there are so few over there!!!!!

There is another one of these in Septermber .It is a classic race round the old city walls at Angouleme about 3 hours south west of LM

The reason there are so few here is we are too close to Guernsey... all that carrot chomping can be heard  when we are on St Ouens beach!!
