Inaltera, Rondeau, Moggie pse Rick!

Inaltera coming up but all Moggie pics still on home PC. Got some real corkers of TOK down at Arnage on Sunday morning  Grin

Rick - spectacular pics of the Rondeau.
Is it just me - or are the front wheels just too damn small to make this car 'look right'? In fact, I always thought the M379/382 looked all out of proportion, being 'all windshield and empty wheelarches'. Of course it got even worse with the 482, which was just plain fugly (from every angle but the back. Sadly, the only time anyone ever got to see it's hindquarters was as they were lapping the old smoker). Sorry if I've offended anyone by these observations.

Thanks Matt! And yes I agree about the front wheels looking rather small in comparison. Still one of my fave cars of the weekend though  Grin

Amazed by the remains of Newey's GT40, heard he'd had a little moment but didn't realise quite how scratched the car was!!!!

Lovely photos Rick,
Especially love the Alpine Renault A443.  The French turbo Bumble Bees are probably my all-time favorite LM cars.
The 936 is a thing of beauty too.

Cheers Fax! I was overjoyed when I heard the A443 and the 936 were both going to be there as I missed the event in 2004. I loved that era and it prompted me to go for the first time in 1981, when the 936 scored its last win  Smiley

When they were running in the last 'grid' just before the finish, the two of them were running just too far apart to get a shot of just them together, I was hoping the 936 could close the gap in the dying minutes but in the end it was the car that died!  Sad Would have been my all time fave wallpaper I think!

Cheers

termietermite - I have some of the Rondeau team from the 80's if your interested, not as good as Ricks sorry to say.
Any Rondeau pics would be great - I have a real soft spot for them, although I agree with some on this thread that the Inalteras are kind of ugly - but great at the same time.  He just was a true Le Manster in every way was old Jean.  Anybody know of any books about him out there?

Well, I have some car pictures as well, but also, especially for Martini, some pics from the improvised Poo Bar meeting.
