Most likely going as a quasi-tourist in 2007; with an all-access pass and wireless-enabled laptop I think I can work pretty much anywhere without troubling the Media people.  But I have a dozen races between now and then so time will tell.

I missed the ambience and the company, and I missed especially wandering around the paddock and garages in the early morning hours.  But I have to say that it as great to fold up the sofa bed, take a hot shower and have breakfast as soon as the race was over, and not have two more days before I got home.

Right now they're running TV ads over here for a three day pass to the USGP for $60 dollars.  Sounds a bit desperate to put asses (candy flavored of course)
in seats.  Hope the USGP at Indy dies a slow, painful
death.

Couldn't you go along with an armful of tumble weeds and chuck them over the fence?
A lad at work went to the British GP. He camped friday and saturday at a cost of £200 for camping and entry ticket. Looked a bit shocked when i told him i made it to Le Mans for longer for little more, and ours included beer and food.

Has anyone heard of a provisional date for 2007 yet?
24th weekend of the year but never confirmed until around December because of negotiations with locals.

Rhino,
I'm pretty certain the drivers would prefer dodging tumble weed over the beer cans and drink bottles being hurled in their direction last year.

Thanks for that termietermite. Not heard of the 24th week of the year before. I guess I'm a bit slow on the uptake,  as this was only my 26th year there!!! Doh!!

Don't worry, I didn't fall in either, just picked this up from somebody else this year.  Clever what?

I have just sent off my ticket order to ACO - cant help thinking this is a terrible mistake tho.

Usually I start trying to get a campsite around February - now I have nearly the full 12 months to fret about my fax actually being received, have they seen it says "2007", will it be put at the bottom of the box and all the later orders put on top of it..........should I put my "tickets wanted" ad onto the forum now or wait a bit longer?   Undecided

P.S.  I have not however asked for MB - unlike certain others from the bleu encampment who have crumbled in their resolve... (you know who you are Barry!   Cool)

Requesting and getting are two completley different things, and my resolve was weakened by alcohol and a dislike of walking/staggering.

PS UPS have just delivered my MB pass for the Classic. Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool
