Hope I won't be accused of blowing the Beermountain trumpet - but I'll at least I'll let you know we have a trumpet - the ACO have asked "The Wild Choppers" to take part in the drivers parade this year.  Grin

I have a special manoevre which we will perform if we see any CA shirts on our tour round the town.

If we look like we need emergency rehydration your help appreciated!

On behalf of the squadron, we hope to see all our "old" CA friends (and any new ones) - only 10 days time!

You're either at Le Mans, or waiting for Le Mans!

Good news Mr T.
We generally drive into town to view the parade, but the organisation and timing is a bit tardy and there are often long breaks between passing 'attractions'.
We'll spend the slack time getting 'refreshed'.

Smoke canisters this time?

Yes - the smoke has come from a special forces supplier in Finland I believe - red, white and blue - so our schncro pair will need to parctice harder than last time.

No sure if it will be smoke "on" in the parade - depends who is behind us! Plus if its slow we will just become a big cloud and no one will see us - possibly for the better...

Will practice on MB on Thu pm, and pop by all at CA we know!

Does this mean that you have an official pass to get into the parade assembly area ?

If so is it scanable and could it be easily reproduced on a PC printer as  getting drivers autographs in that area is what I enjoy the most about my Le Mans trip, but they are making jumping the fences harder every year.

Any help appreciated

My people are talking with their people at present - I asked this question on my list of things to find out about something I know nothing about..I guess we will need this to be able to form up in the parade area? Plus we have to deliver the bikes in our new BM Command Vehicle...quite a machine in its own right!

Mr Toad, If you could obtain a few extra passes, I and a friend would be very greatful as we really enjoy chatting with the drivers and collecting the autograph cards for our collections. We would repay the favour with a crate of your choice of beer for your mountain.

Each to his own I suppose, but if I was given the choice of collecting drivers autographs or taking pot shots at burning turkeys falling out of the sky I know which I'd choose...

Congratulations Mr Toad, I am sure that the sight of a British squadron at Le Mans will bring a tear to the eye of many an old Frenchie in the crowd. If we see Jerry running away we will know that you are near!

Dambusters or 633 Squadron soundtrack though?
