Right we've not spoken then.   I only fly VFR well I do some IFR but it's "I Follow Roads" in my case.   Also Alpha Golf is somewhat negative on the Squawk.   So even if I try i get told to bu**er off.  Luton are normally OK in the Light Aircraft Corridor.

Have you ever flown yourself to LM, or are you not a minimalist packer?

Yes,  I've done it once.  It was my first Cross Channel flight and I  flew solo.  No GPS just good old Compass and Map.  I did have a VOR but I'd never really used it so could rely on useing that.  It took me 24 hours to get there due to bad weather on the way down. Stayed over night in Beauvais.  But the journey home only took 4 hours.  It's not really practical with the Landing frees and Parking.  Plus the cost of Car rental.

It was great fun.

And the main problem with flying to LM is the return, my dad flew once, we left 90 mins after the finish and i was home having the dt's in no time. Prefer the drive, the wind down is better.

Dad was sensible. Hardly drank and got a good nights sleep, made us breakfast sunday morning. It was when we were in the supermarket loading crates of beer into the trolly he said "You can't take any home with us."
Silly question Grin

Next time and if it is available go onto 100% O2.  Hangover goes in seconds.

OK lets get back on topic.  :-)  The forecast of nine days ago was pretty much spot on I would say,

But they did go a bit off track a few days ago with a temp of 23.

Thelong range stuff is getting in to Race week tomorrow.  Smiley
