not sure what the title means but you really deserve it mate and it couldn't of gone to a more deserving person.
Smokie tells me that part of the deal is that its a move to make the CA Moderators more human and that at bars you will be responsible for buying the first round.

It's the word global that puzzles me. I can't be global as in round cos he's not in bad shape for someone his age. It can't be due to the amount of traveling he does cos Smokie does his fair share too. so what is the meaning of global in the context of SB?  |

I'm not really clear about this "Global Moderator" title.
I mean 'Global' could mean worldwide, in which case let's send the old seadog to Baghdad, there's more than a little moderating required over there.
Or it could mean round and ball-like, in which case I'm not sure exactly where the moderating comes in, mine have never fallen out with each other, I don't know about yours. Maybe it's a question of balance or perhaps accounting. You really have to be careful whose globes you moderate, especially on a dark night, I would imagine.
I think I'll stop posting now, just in case...

I asked Grand Fromage whether Steve could be a mod last Friday - I've been away a lot lately and we are just approaching our busiest time so an extra pair of eyes is very handy. I was going to do the change after the weekend, not after a few beers at a planning meeting, but I got carried away on Friday night and did it but forgot to post to tell y'all. Anyway, that's history: welcome Steve, NIL ILLEGITIMUS CARBORUNDUM |
