As this grows it seems more and more like SEBRING . Thank you all for the offer of camping gear, tent, bed rolls etc. Now really is the hard part--really trying to narrow things down. I know it always works itself out. I thought maybe that large tent (8 man) could house us TT (Turn 10) blokes all in one, that way if we've made total asses of ourselves the authorities only have to come to one place.

Amsterdam? Now I'm envious. It sounds like you guy are in for really big fun. Something tells me the anticipation levels are going to hit warp drive very soon. A problem everyone should have to deal with at least once.
Speaking of sleeping on terra firma, I had the idea years ago to try a bare bones, no frills Lemans trip. Something along the lines of fying into Paris with nothing more than a cooler and hitch hiking from the airport to the track and back. That thought came to me 10 years ago and still has some intrigue. What's the chance of someone hitch hiking to and from the track without showing up on some militants web site with a gag and blindfold? If it's not possible, what the lightest way to do Lemans in a reasonable fashion?
Back to dirt, I highly recommend the ditches ar Road Atlanta for quality sleep. Nothing like it that I've found. A firm foundatoin and very few fire ants or pedestrians to deal with.

Hey guys, sounds like your been spoilt by nice comfy dirt, the dirt on MB is pretty hard, a thin layer of soil and then rocks (seems that way when your trying to get tent pegs in!) so I reckon that you need to get some cushioning between you and the hard stuff. I have a spare camp bed (also usefully elevated if it rains and the tent leaks!) that I can bring over (about all I can in the MG) you are welcome to it if needs (can also provide a sleeping bag if needed).

Hi Atc
The tent is yours for the weekend.Just send me a PM to confirm and I will bring it over.
the tent has 4 X double sleeping compartments with a central lounge area 9' x 22' long so if you want to get extra bodies in ,there is space for an 6 - 8 extra bodies if required.
For those of you who want to make space for our guests the tent is 24' X 24' overall.
This year the"Shed" has been retired for the trip and I will be bringing "Dennis Ducato" so if anybody wants gear transported that they do not have space for I will possibly have extra capacity to bring it down.

Fran All we need is Lawnmower man to do some trimming before any erections take place Are you providing the Mower Wishy? I don't normaly do site prep work, Too many bricks and stones. they tend to chew up the blades So I prefer a previously prepared lawn. t.
