It would appear that there will be a good US CA invasion to Le Mans this year.

It's pointless you dragging un-necessary gear over here if it can be arranged by any of us European CA'ers.

Therefore, I've raised this thread as a sort of "who can provide" / "I can provide Swap Shop.

So, Team Impala (Randy, Mike, Gregg); YFDS (Chop, Hardpoint etc); Canada Phil; Fax, Matt and Dave; JohnnySpa or anyone else I've overlooked - if you have any gear problems or concerns, post them up and maybe someone can match up and help out.

I think we can all offer general hospitality .....for the newbies/oldies  from across the pond!!!!

If you all want to congregate on the same pitch  I can offer  an 8 man tent which is going spare this year as we are all using pup tents.

We have a couple of small Gaz stoves and cooking utensiles fold up chairs, table ect - am restricted on transport though but happy to put them into a pool of kit. Maybe somebody with carry space (i.e. a van for their own kit) should be a single point contact to co- ordinate whats avalible other wise you'll end up with 16 chairs and no tents! Perhaps the Planning meeting could be a revendos point for contributions.

I have a spare tent, roll mat, and you guys are welcome to pitch up with the main Platinum Triangle Ca'ers. I also have a spare stove but I am sure it is easier if you just join up with other CA'ers for Dinners etc. Welcome at ours certainly.

Tent is a coleman 3 man would suit one with luggage possibly two, Used it at Le Mans several times and has held out the water in 1998 and 2001!

We have loads of kit that we are already taking down, let me know of anything you need and I am sure we can put something together.

Don't forget swimwear as I will have the pool that is also at your disposal should it be as hot as last year.

Looks like I'll be towing a small trailer so probably some spare room for kit.

Not much to offer though except some cold beers...  Tongue

Man, you all are excelent!! Your offers of hospitality is awsome. Cool
I can't wait to put faces to some of the personalities on this forum.  (Some I have already met)

I do have one request. Can we have a roll call of North Americans making the trip over, and where they
are camping/staying? How many times at Le Mans and where from ?  Have you ever been to Turn Ten?

I mean no offense to the Europeans, just curious if we have met or soon to. Smiley  Thanks

Good idea...I've already pm'd Pieter to say we've got:

3 x self inflating roll mat
1 x sleeping bag
1 x 5 man tent - has two "rooms" and will sleep 1 in each room with space to spare, has full head height in the bedroom so no stooping!!  It's tried and tested in bad weather!

We've also got lots of crockery etc.  Do I gather from Pieter's other posts the plan is for our trans-atlantic guests to experience (!!!) the hospitality of the DfH boys?  so it will just be a case of sorting "beds"?

I can't wait and I can't believe that we're nearly in the last month countdown - it must almost be time for a chart for my desk  Grin

Our group for Le Mans consists of:

Me* - Wisconsin
Flobee1kenobi* - Ohio
Hardpoint* - Ohio
Warlock* - Ohio
xSander* - Holland (Not in North America, or so I'm told).
Jack - Wisconsin
Dirtyboy - California
Mrs. Dirtyboy - California
Dirtyboy's friend - California

Possibly one pasty Norweigan, too.  Grin

We're staying on Karting Nord, starting Thursday afternoon.  This will be everyone's first trip to Le Mans except our Norweigan friend, if he shows up.

I think our friend Sander has most of our unflyables covered, so we look to be in good shape.  Thanks for the offer - you guys are the mufuggin' bomb!  Wink
