Sierra Cosworths x 7
7 Cosworths ! Just wondering why 7, did you sell then regret it as you clearly like fast Fords. Or were you unlucky with the Scourge of the time "TWOCKERS"?

I appear to have had a wealth of rather dull cars (until this one)
1990 Astra Van from Dad's work (wrote it off after 3 weeks) 1990 Mum's Escort 1.6i Ghia (very, very heavy) 1990 Volkswagen Golf 1.1N (L was the most basic but I believe the N came below it!!!) 1993 Renault Clio 1.4CL (Lots of fun in this including 8 people up after England beat Spain on penalties in Euro '96) 1997 Some sort of sh*t cavalier saloon 1998 Slightly better Cavalier 2.0GL hatchback 1999 Honda Civic 1.4 (work car) 2000 Volkswagen Golf Gti 1.8T (hooray the first car with some power) 2003 Audi A4 1.8T 2004 Volkswagen Golf R32 3.2 V6 (and the car going to Le Mans)

No just liked them, had a couple that went wrong, but kept going back to them, more power each time.. Only ever had 1 car nicked, and i got that back complete with the screw driver they used to start it with.

I Think this has been done before, but im interested in what you all drive (and im a little bored at work ) i have owned/driven the following - 1989 Austin Metro 1997 Peugeot 306 1999 Vauxhall Astravan (company vehicle 1998 Rover 100 (Metro) 1996 Honda Civic Coupe 1988 Nissan Silvia ZX i have also had (quite) a few courtesy cars as well! Rob! All these cars are absolute and utter rubbish, you should be embarrassed!! You might just as well have started a threads entitled "How many times have you suffered erectile dysfunction?" or "How can I stop wetting the bed?". theyre all not too bad - my first metro was a good car and my first, the 306 is a good car, nothing wrong with that, the astravan was a company vehicle,as a tempory car after i wrote the pug off, the rover was a pile of sh**te that i bought as a cheap option when the van died(cambelt not my fault ), the civic was a really nice car(until i wrote it off), and the silvia is a really cool car(imo) anyway apart from the obvious commer thing(!) what others have you had? To be fair, they are all shocking cars , end of. And i am authorised to say so, I bought a BRAND NEW MG ZS 1 year before they went bust and now the cars falling apart.....

1999 Land Rover Defender 90 50th Anniversary V8 (hurrah!!!)
The Defender is definatley the best motor I've every owned
Dream Machine! Always wanted one of the more modern Defenders... Basically a RHD NAS90 if I'm correct? How do you find the fuel consumption in this age of the £1 litre, or have you changed to LPG?

I'm not to sure about that, I think the NAS was a 3.5 V8, this one is the 4litre with the 4 speed auto. As I only do 3000 miles a year in it I hardly notice the 12-14mpg but with only a 57litre fuel I do spend a lot of time in the filling stations. I did notice it cost me £50 to fill her up the other day which was a first, when I bought her new in 99 a fill up would cost well under £35. I'm glad Mr. Brown is spending all that extra cash wisely

I'm sure I've missed one or two and there have been so many others driven but too many to list here (plus I am a bear of little brain these days due to alcoholic brain-cell depletion).

Morris 1100 Mk 1 Peuguot 504 Ti Fiat 124 1100 Alfa Romeo Alfasud 1200 Ti Beettle 1300 Volkswagen LT 35 2500 petrol Fiat Uno Renault 11 1700 GTL Renault 5 Turbo Golf GTI Mk 2 Renault 19 16v saloon Ford Orion 1600 Ghia Volkswagen Passat 1.8 20v Citroen Xantia 1.8 Kawasaki KH 250 Ducati M750 Monster Audi A6 Avant TDI Kawasaki KV 75 Plus various commericals to mundane to mention, except the LT, straight six 2.5 petrol engine that drank fuel, but when empty could surprise cars at the lights, and you could have a party in the back. Favourite car is a close call between the Alfasud and the Renault 19 16v, both went round corners as if on rails, and the Sud had a breathed on engine that meant it really went for a 1200. But the 16v was a real rocket ship, so that's my no 1, even though it nearly cost me my licence.

I'm sure we've done all this before, however, here we go - 1978 Ford Escort mk2 ancient Ford Anglia 1973 Ford Cortina mk3 1980 Vauxhall Cavalier mk1 1983 Vauxhall Cavalier mk2 SRi 1976 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am (kicked serious bottom - engine lives on in the Dax) 1962 Cadillac Coupe DeVille (vast ocean liner of a car) 1976 Triumph Spitfire (it's still here somewhere around the house and garage in numerous cardboard boxes - long term project ) 1984 Pontiac Fiero 1997 Audi A4 (slight hiccup in a strict diet of US vehicles) 1997 Chevrolet Camaro 2002 SAAB 9-3 (another hiccup) 2000 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am (5.7 litres of growling V8 - my better halfs current 'commuter' car) .... and of course DAX Tojeiro Cobra replica, complete with aforementioned 1976 Pontiac 6.6 litre V8 (trusted Le Mans transport and all round fun car) plus a Honda and a couple of Kawasaki motorcycles (now gone) company cars - 3 x Ford Escort 1 x Ford Focus 1 x Vauxhall Vectra old shape 1 x Vauxhall Vestra current model (good for carting about bath tubs and bits of wood - and 180 bhp to boot!) In financial terms, that's a hell of a lot of car tax / insurance / fuel costs
