Great photos, my eye was also drawn to the Hawian section as I have always fancied a trip there.

Having seen the images on your site they is now a renewed urge to visit some of the sites. Thank you.

The "site" of what was the village is interesting along with all of the ground working being done, the ACO's planes are very ambitious, but the finished product with be first class.  The foundations are being dug for the station at Terte Rouge I understand the tunnel under the road will be installed sometime soon, the road works for the tramway are just passed Carrefour and continue to Tetre Rouge.

Well done for this important news.  Do Carrefour plan roadworks every year?

I like the 2nd picture of the riders running at the start.
It looks like the starter with the Tricolor is saying
"Come on then if you think you're hard, I'll take you all"!

One thing completely off subject was that petrol is EU1.36 a ltr and diesel about 1.30 a ltr in France now so about the same as UK with today’s exchange rate

Just a tad off topic, did you try out the new road?

Yep sure did, just follow the signs to Le Mans from Rouen the start just after the long tunnel, Its just over 100 miles of duel carriageway with NO services (yet).  A selection of fixed speed traps and 3 single lane sections 2 close to Rouen and the old one near Le Mans, which has road works on it, looks as if they are making it two lanes.  The way back was ok until I got to Rouen for some reason the satnav sent me into the middle of town and out on the N27, then N29 to the A28 but I got there in the end.
