A few to start with.

Cable ties. ---  Lots of them, very useful.

Hozelock converters. --- For diverting water to your campsite.

Earplugs. ---   If you want to sleep.

Gang socket. ---   One genny various appliences, Bollocks.

Talcum Powder. ----  Nothing worse than chaffing nuts at Tetre Rouge at 3AM

Pipe Spreader.  ---  For Bill Grin

Extra tent pegs.  ---  Get that Gazebo fixed down good.

As I usually take the big black beast, I get paranoid about it breaking down and bits falling off, hence a boot load of 'spares'.
However, co-pilot Dick is taking me in his TR6 this year so I can take off my Captain Paranoia mask.

... essentials

Falling over trousers - as I usually do and don't want to mess up my best duds.

Whitewall tyre - for burning on Sunday night.

Mallet for tent pegs - don't use the bottom of a glass bottle, I still have the scar!

Chain and padlocks - to prevent some itinerant low life stealing the genny.

Hose and fittings - to damp down the dusty HA tracks.

Don't have to just carry round a swiss army knife everywhere you go!

did cause a few concerns during a stop and search by the metropolitain Police at Paddington a few months ago.

Last year, one of our party turned up with a bag of apples....... cue lots of laughter and finger pointing.......

By day 3 and several tons of burger meat & bacon there was actually a fight over an apple!

My "don't forget" would be fruit!!!

My usual reply is this is, duck tape, shock cord and a Swiss army knife, unless it's electronic you can fix just about anything with these.

At the risk of sounding gay, wet wipes are useful for some in tent hygine.

Sun cream, not much worse than spending a week in a dusty field if your burnt.

At least you can wash it and use it again.

Swimming pool, toilet paper, a thirst for beer and a joyous spirit. Don't ruin everyone's week by being a miserable twat all the time.

Oh and don't get food poisoning from Asda chicken the day you arrive as my mate did last year. Severe diarrhea and Le Mans toilets are not a match made in heaven.

My list - some appear already:  duct tape, cable ties,  ear-plugs, sun-tan lotion, a hat, sunglasses, plenty of water, tape & poles to rope off pitch, scotch tape for the camping pass, ticket holder, mallet, swiss army knife, parachute cord, little radio for RLM, ear defenders, wet wipes, anti-bacterial hand gel (no water required).

and lastly - plenty of beer, some common sense and a sense of humour!!!

To add to all the other useful stuff listed in the postings above can I just mention TICKETS - both of the travel variety and those for entry/campsites and grandstands.

You can buy or replace most of the other items listed......
